Igorrr Joins Forces w/ Trey Spruance (Mr. Bungle)

French avant-garde metal act Igorrr unveiled their latest single, “Blastbeat Falafel,” earlier today. The track features a guest appearance from Trey Spruance — guitarist, keyboardist, and vocalist for Mr. Bungle. Also contributing is violinist/trumpeter Timba Harris, a frequent collaborator of Spruance in Secret Chiefs 3 and various other projects.

The track, streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you now below, will appear on Igorrr’s forthcoming fifth studio album, Amen, set for release on September 19th through Metal Blade Records.

Sinsaenum (Ex-Mayhem, Dååth) Premiere New Single

Blackened death metal metal supergroup Sinsaenum will release their third album, In Devastation, on August 8th via earMUSIC. This marks the band’s first release since the passing of their drummer, Joey Jordison (formerly of Slipknot), in 2021. A music video for the album’s title track, directed by Mathieu Ezan, has debuted online and can be viewed below. Drumming duties have been taken over by Andre Joyzi, who formerly worked as Joey Jordison’s drum tech. The band’s lineup also includes current and former members of Mayhem, Dååth, Seth, Chimaira, and others.

As such, the album serves as a tribute to both Jordison and the late father of guitarist and founder Frédéric Leclercq (formerly of DragonForce). Speaking about the release, Leclercq shared: More...
