Igorrr Joins Forces With Members Of Mr. Bungle & Secret Chiefs 3 On New Track “Blastbeat Falafel”

French avant-garde metal act Igorrr unveiled their latest single, “Blastbeat Falafel,” earlier today. The track features a guest appearance from Trey Spruance — guitarist, keyboardist, and vocalist for Mr. Bungle. Also contributing is violinist/trumpeter Timba Harris, a frequent collaborator of Spruance in Secret Chiefs 3 and various other projects.

The track, streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you now below, will appear on Igorrr’s forthcoming fifth studio album, Amen, set for release on September 19th through Metal Blade Records.

Igorrr mastermind Gautier Serre shared the following about the collaboration:

“The track is an unnatural and unorthodox connection between metal and traditional oriental music. A metalhead who truly loves oriental music tried to fit in with the codes of oriental music but didn’t succeed. He tried too hard, lost his identity, and ended up in a psychiatric hospital.”
