Blackened death metal metal supergroup Sinsaenum will release their third album, In Devastation, on August 8th via earMUSIC. This marks the band’s first release since the passing of their drummer, Joey Jordison (formerly of Slipknot), in 2021. A music video for the album’s title track, directed by Mathieu Ezan, has debuted online and can be viewed below. Drumming duties have been taken over by Andre Joyzi, who formerly worked as Joey Jordison’s drum tech. The band’s lineup also includes current and former members of Mayhem, Dååth, Seth, Chimaira, and others.

As such, the album serves as a tribute to both Jordison and the late father of guitarist and founder Frédéric Leclercq (formerly of DragonForce). Speaking about the release, Leclercq shared:

“I was devastated, hence the title of this album. But we knew we had to carry on. This record is our tribute to my father, to Joey, and to anyone who’s ever had to find strength in their darkest moments.”
