Original Arch Enemy Members Record New Songs

Guesting on Masa Itoh's Rock TV, Arch Enemy guitarist / founder Michael Amott revealed that Black Earth, featuring past and current members of Arch Enemy, has recorded two new songs for the upcoming collection of remastered tracks from Arch Enemy's early albums.

Amott: "It's quite complicated getting everybody together to do that, but we wrote these two new songs. I wrote one with Chris (Amott), and then I wrote one myself. They're called 'Burn On The Flame' and 'Life Infernal'... two brand new tracks that are kind of in the style of what we used to do, I think. And they turned out really amazing too. We actually went back to Fredrik Nordström's studio, Fredman, where we made the first three records. so we worked with the original producer, and he mixed it. It sounds really powerful. Very cool." Heart Of A Coward Signs With Arising Empire

Arising Empire Records are proud to announce the worldwide signing of intrepid British metal quintet Heart Of A Coward. Heart Of A Coward announced the addition of vocalist Kaan Tasan to their ranks early last year, alongside the release of bruising new track "Collapse." The band has since been busy working on new material, and are planning to release a new album in 2019.

The band stated: "We are incredibly excited to be a part of the Arising Empire family for our 4th release. Album 4 is always a difficult one and we couldn't have picked a more supportive label to put this out for us. We look forward to seeing you all in 2019."

Formed in Milton Keynes in 2009, Heart Of A Coward have released three albums to date; "Hope and Hindrance" (2012), "Severance" (2013) and "Deliverance" (2015). "Hope and Hindrance" was self-released - it laid down the foundations for their sound, garnering the band a reaction they’d never previously anticipated. The positive feedback spurred them on and seeded the realisation of what could be possible if they knuckled down and continued honing their craft.

Heart Of A Coward are:
Kaan Tasan (Vocals)
Carl Ayers (Guitars)
Steve Haycock (Guitars)
Vishal Khetia (Bass)
Christopher Mansbridge (Drums)

Antropomorphia Reveals New Album Details

On April 5th, AntropomorphiA will release their new album, "Merciless Savagery," via Metal Blade Records. To hear the new title track, please visit: https://metalblade.com/antropomorphia/ - where the record can also be pre-ordered in the following formats:

–digipak-CD
–180g black vinyl (EU exclusive)
–grey marbled vinyl (EU exclusive - limited to 200 copies)
–dead gold marbled vinyl (EU exclusive - limited to 200 copies)
–black/white splatter vinyl (EU exclusive - limited to 120 copies)
–brown marbled vinyl (US exclusive - limited to 100 copies)

In the year marking the 10th anniversary of their reunion, AntropomorphiA has delivered an extreme metal opus that more than maintains the high standards upheld over the course of their storied career. Further building on the monstrous sounds of 2017's "Sermon Ov Wrath," "Merciless Savagery" lives up to its name, attacking with unrepentant ferocity and holding nothing back. Vocalist/guitarist Ferry Damen comments: "'Sermon Ov Wrath' was our most raw and honest statement and an album where we transcended certain genre limitations, capturing the essence of AntropomorphiA, and I would say the new record's atmosphere is darker, heavier and more punishing, but still has hooky riffs and grooves. I think it's the logical step forward. It’s a different chapter, even more diverse while being very cohesive, but you can immediately hear it’s AntropomorphiA." More...

Afterwards the work shall continue at Teemu Aalto Music Productions in Kotka. Jens Bogren will do the mix at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden.

"Again when the days grew darker and the nights became colder, our path led into the dark. We checked-in to our traditional forest cabin-hq in the southern Finland for a new material rehearsal camp and (un)reality-check. We came out with 10’ish songs full of that good ol’ Finnish melancholy, sorrow & misery and now it’s time to wrap it all on tape for you peeps to hear ’em. Cannot wait to start the studio process and let the creative processes go up-and-down again!" comments guitarist Markus Vanhala. More...

70.000 Tons of Metal: Day 4

Hailing from Pereira, Colombia death metal band Internal Suffering (who have since relocated to madrid, Spain) open the last day of metal mayhem for me on the last day of the cruise. The group deliver a solid live performance on the Studio B - Ice Rink stage. See for some pics below:
