Delain Posts New Track By Track Video

Delain have released a third track-by-track video, in which they discuss the track "The Silence Is Mine" from their upcoming Hunter's Moon album, out on February 22nd via Napalm Records. Find all available track-by-track videos below.

Hunter's Moon is the final part of a trilogy, that also includes Delain's EP Lunar Prelude and album Moonbathers. The release includes four brand new studio tracks, ten live songs, and a Blu-ray disc of those live songs, filmed at Utrecht's Tivoli venue, during Delain's sold out Danse Macabre European tour in 2017 and featuring special guests including Nightwish's Marco Hietala. Perfect for both old and new Delain fans, the release encapsulates their breathtaking live show and showcases their stunning stage production, as well as offering a taste of what's to come from their next studio album, also due out in 2019.

Delain about the four new studio tracks: “Along with the live Blu-Ray are four new studio tracks. Two of these offer a preview of what we are working on for our new full length studio album, which we expect to release in 2019. 'Masters Of Destiny' is a dramatic, cinematic track, that we’re excited to shoot an equally dramatic video for this week. The title track 'Hunter’s Moon' has more of a catchy feel and will hopefully appeal to our fans featuring heavy riffs, orchestrations, a large chorus and as a novel feature, Timo’s screams. Our guitarists stepped to the forefront on this release, in writing 'This Silence Is Mine' (Timo Somers) and 'Art Kills' (Merel Bechtold). With fond live memories, classic and new sounds we're excited to present Hunter's Moon to the world!” More...

With the release of their first full-length "Kindred: Act I" on the horizon (March 1, 2019), Red Cain are proud to premiere their first full music video for "Zero" via EverythingIsNoise.

For this video, the Red Cain collaborated with world-class director Rik Zak and cinematographer Jun Ren to recreate their own vision of the vampire myth based on the tale of Osiris - the Egyptian god of the dead - and incorporated this vision into the concept behind the album itself. More...

Whitesnake Reveals New Album Details

Whitesnake has confirmed a May 10th release date for their upcoming studio album, "Flesh & Blood," via Frontiers Music Srl. A video for the first single, "Shut Up & Kiss Me", can be found below.

Fresh off celebrating their 40th anniversary, rock legends Whitesnake return with their latest studio album, "Flesh & Blood." This album follows the 2011 critically acclaimed studio album "Forevermore" and 2015’s "The Purple Album," a reimagining of Deep Purple classics from Whitesnake mastermind’s David Coverdale’s time in that band. The 13 original, visceral tracks on Flesh & Blood, the band’s 13th studio album, are, luckily for you dear reader, “all killer, no filler”, as the saying goes. But would you expect anything less from the ’Snakes?

David Coverdale, the mastermind behind Whitesnake & co-composer of "Shut Up & Kiss Me" with guitarist Reb Beach, commenting on the forthcoming release said that "after the intense darkness of our last video 'Burn', if anything, it’s ‘light’ snake, you know? We’ve got some really dark energy going on in the world right now, so we’re gonna write & record a fun, knees up, song about falling in love with a fabulous babe. You’re over-talking, over-compensating & she just looks at you, takes the reins & says, 'Shut Up and Kiss Me!' and that’s it!! My video director and creative partner Tyler Bourns and I discussed a great storyline for the video, which involves a surprise guest: my fabulous old white Jaguar. We ended up cleaning and detailing it, as it has been in storage since I moved to Lake Tahoe, then we dusted off my old turquoise silk jacket from the original ‘Here I Go Again’ video and I was thinking, "man, this is going to be fun!" It’s a respectful acknowledgment and positive nod to the past, just fun stuff.” More...

Memoriam Begins Work On New Album

Old-school death metal band Memoriam are currently working on the follow up to their highly acclaimed 2018 album The Silent Vigil. The band recently ensconced themselves at Parlour Studios in Kettering (UK) to kick off the recordings with renowned producer, Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir, At The Gates, Amorphis etc).

The band states:
"So here we are on our second week of recording our third album at Parlour Studios with the infamous Russ Russell at the desk. Personally we think this is the album people wanted to hear from us when we set out with Memoriam, a big gritty production, aggressive vocals and music and a few curve-balls thrown in to keep the grey matter active! In hindsight it feels like the previous two albums were a preparation for this one. Our most satisfying work personally to date. We hope you feel the same once you get to hear it. Anyway, onwards with the recording"

The new album will be released in summer 2019. Stay tuned for more info.

Interview

Napalm Death Singer On New Music, Brexit And More

What more can be said about Napalm Death at this point? Formed over thirty years ago, the band has consistently released superb albums and retained their reputation as one of the best live groups around. Their debut, "Scum" is considered by many to be a classic album which introduced the world to grindcore, a genre they're credited with creating and ever since, they've continued to evolve, resulting in a rich catalogue of material.

Luckily for British fans, when the Persistence Tour rolled into London, the Midlands quartet had been added to an already impressive lineup for one show only and so when the opportunity to speak with Napalm Death's frontman Barney Greenway arose, it was one to grab with both hands. In the interview, Barney spoke about a number of subjects ranging from progress on a new album, the status of guitarist Mitch Harris, his time with Extreme Noise Terror, social issues such as Brexit and austerity, independent cinema and his beloved Aston Villa football club. You can watch the conversation in full below. More...
