Stormbound Reveals New Album Details
StormbounD, a majestically melodic band from Israel, channel the vibes of bands such as Delain and Amaranthe with powerful, clean vocals from frontwoman Yael Horwitz, alongside the harsher lyrics sang by vocalist/guitarist Ofer Friedman who is backed up by a formidable, symphonic sound driven by bassist Pavel Kleiman, keyboardist Rotem Sadia, drummer Yuval Partush and guitarist Shani Friedman. They are amped to be releasing their debut album this summer, and so far have already released two singles, the first being "Altar Of Innocence," but now are drawing attention to the latest, "Desert’s Roar" complete with a music video. They share their thoughts on this release:
"The lyrics on the album tell some interesting stories, some more personal and some global, convey some harsh messages and themes, and deliver a wide array of emotions. We did our best to bring all of that into a cohesive musical surrounding within the realm of metal. 'Desert’s Roar' is a cry for freedom from an inner struggle taking place inside the mind of a person feeling controlled and overpowered."
The entirety of the album "December" is a journey that goes from gloomy and despondent to kickass, high, and victorious. StormbounD weaves an immersive and entertaining tale that will take the listeners into desperate depths before catapulting them into the open sky.
The full album "December" will be released on August 5, 2022. More...

(full line up listed below with more to be announced). The 2022 festival will also be an all-ages event.
Planet Eater has been a staple source of extreme loud blasting from barren prairies, spreading their influence into Western Canada and beyond. The sound of Planet Eater is as unique as it is familiar, blending thrash and death metal with crushing grooves and devastating vocals. Fans who have yet to see them will be captivated by their live spectacle and the uncontrollable urges to eternally headbang.
Arrival of Autumn performs in support of their latest album "Harbringer" released in 2019 via Nuclear Blast. The band is a guitar-driven riff-heavy machine with fast double kick and vocal hooks to leave you humming our songs all day. Although they play fast they aren't afraid to slow it down with beautiful atmospheric passages to add a much-needed dynamic that is missing from a lot of music today. Arrival Of Autumn is very dynamic and versatile able to please anyone from a rock fan to even the most hardcore death metal fans. They choose not to limit themselves, which allows them to be so accessible. More...
Our Dying World Teases New Music Video
Los Angeles’ Our Dying World has gone through a huge evolution over the past couple of years as highlighted in the teaser for their upcoming album. On their 2019 album “Expedition” they were intense, thrashy death metal and with their next album “Hymns Of Blinding Darkness”, they are turning up the melody and stepping into a sound that is more refined and reigned in, but without sacrificing any of the intensity. This new album, like many others, is a product of the pandemic, and Our Dying World is itching to show listeners what they have been working on while tucked away as they comment:
“We are so happy and grateful to have this record finally come to light after the events of the last few years. The publications that have taken the time to listen to our efforts and share them with the world have been something we’ve all grown up on and to see “Hymns Of Blinding Darkness” being talked about so widely is mind-blowing. We’ve been working and developing this band for years and where we started seems almost like a different world. We’re starting to fall into our sound and as we start to push forward from here, you can bet you’re going to hear us captured more in a defined way.”
The dramatic shift in style can, in part, be chalked up to working more collaboratively as a band. When “Expedition” was written and recorded, it was all done by drummer Tom Tierney, as opposed to this upcoming release, which has been meticulously shaped by each member: vocalist David Ainsworth took his hand on writing lyrics for “Diary Of A War Dog” for the first time; keyboardist Graham Southern was responsible for multiple arrangements throughout the record and all of the orchestration, and guitarist Ray Sanchez helped shape Under The Hunter’s Blade from a single riff. It is clear the band is growing closer in composition and spirit so they are extraordinarily excited to see what comes next for them.
The album “Hymns Of Blinding Darkness” is being released on June 24, 2022. More...

After releasing their chart topping, critically acclaimed epos "Ynglingaättens Öde," leading Swedish Viking metal wolf pack Månegarm keep the heathen fire burning bright! Today the three-piece has unveiled a visually palpable lyric video for the album opener, "Freyrs blod."
With the uncompromising ten-minute opus "Freyrs blod," Månegarm lure the listener deep into ancient times. With this majestic opener, Månegarm showcase why they are regarded as Swedish genre pioneers with good reason, as they inimitably manage to combine vicious black metal foundations with classic folk and Viking elements.
Månegarm on "Freyrs blod":

Desertfest UK 2022: Day 3
There's no feeling more bittersweet than the last day of a good festival. On the one hand, you know that you've still got another day of fun ahead, but on the other, it's back to the real world tomorrow and all that goes with it. If it's time to go though, it's best to do it in style and so it was that the final day was spent entirely at The Roundhouse, a beautiful venue a little further away from the others in Camden, but well worth the small trip. It's hosted so many legendary bands over its history and has been the setting for live albums from such bands as Kreator, Opeth, X-Ray Spex and Paradise Lost to name a few. There really was no better place to experience the atmosphere and spirit of Desertfest, which by now has become as important in the doom fans' calendar as Roadburn.
While there were of course many upset fans when it was revealed that The Obsessed were unable to perform, the announcement of Dvne as their replacement was met with a great deal of excitement. Promoting their latest album, "Etemen Ænka," it was easy to see why people were so fascinated to see them. The band are hard to pin down, taking elements of doom, progressive and post metal and creating a soundscape which borders on the ethereal. Despite having two albums under their belt, it seemed to be only songs from the aforementioned "Etemen Ænka" on display, which didn't seem to bother their fans at all, who were lost in the atmosphere created by the Edinburgh quintet. If you're interested in music that paints a picture, then Dvne should definitely be on your list. More...
Fortis Ventus Debuts "Cave Of Glass" Video
Rockshots Records will be releasing Fortis Ventus' debut album "Vertalia" on June 3, 2022. Combining symphonic and cinematic elements along with soundtrack influences, today the Greek trio invites fans to enter the "Cave of Glass", their second single is a grim song that simulates the challenges of dark forces a person has to face in their life in order to conquer their past, so they can be truly free.
The band explains further:
"A journey to the dramatic and mysterious. Thriller undertones start us off with violins playing an eerie tune only for the song to break into big, open, distorted chords. It then takes a dark turn, void of distortion with a prominent operatic melody. The chorus follows a straight beat and more melodic vocals to a heavy bridge baptized in a touch of horror. The ending brings forth an air of hope with the orchestration reflecting that." More...
Vexes Releases New Single
New Jersey's burgeoning alternative rock/metal band Vexes has revealed their third single, "The Dream Disease," from the band's highly-anticipated double album, "Imagine What We Could Destroy /// If Only Given Time," that's due out June 17th.
"The Asbury Park, NJ-based four piece soar like a motherfucker, lifting their songs up with crashing waves of emotional riffs. Now, with their double album Imagine What We Could Destroy /// If Only Given Time on the way this June, the band are primed for hard rock radio, but could also become a sub-surface-level staple with their flourishes of post-metal and hardcore." - MetalSucks.net
Commenting on the song, guitarist John Klagholz says:
"'The Dream Disease' is about being too afraid to chase a dream or a desire that you’ve had, only to watch the moment or the opportunity pass you by and then feeling the regret and the hollowness about your choice not to pursue it for the rest of time. We all live with the fear of rejection or feeling like we’re insufficient in certain ways, but to a casual observer things are not always as bad as they seem. The song can be interpreted as someone who from the outside looking in is trying to help ease those fears and offer some kind of encouragement or hope. Whether we choose to accept that offering is the crux of the matter." More...
Bleed From Within Unveils New Music Video
With only three weeks remaining until the release of their new record "Shrine," the passion for Bleed From Within's most fiercely anticipated record is intensifying. Fueling the fire, the Scottish 5-piece are thrilled to deliver a stunning blow in the form of their fourth album single, the peerless "Flesh And Stone."
Accompanied by a video, "Flesh And Stone" is a modern metal masterpiece, peppered with blackened blast beats and masterly symphonic refrains. The song details the destruction of our planet Earth, and the dismal future we all face as a result of unbridled greed and corruption.
Ali Richardson stated:
"'Flesh And Stone' was born from the idea that future generations will inherit a dying planet. The evidence to support this theory is overwhelming, but we are still met with people who choose to deny the fact that this world is finite. Avoiding the traditional performance style video, we instead wanted to create a cinematic fictional world that could no longer defend itself from the sun; a barren wasteland once full of life. In her isolation, our desperate protagonist has resorted to rituals in order to manifest some form of life on this dead world, but it's too late. It was fun watching this world come together, and we'd like to thank our friend Matt Daley from Clearway Media for his great work on this. Aside from the video, this is a stand out song on the album, and for good reason. We've been waiting patiently to share this with you all. Enjoy." More...
