Metal Blade Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Guns N' Roses Get Back To Touring
CDNow has a lengthy piece on the first show of the Guns Guns N' Roses Get Back To Touring Roses tour in nine years. Here's something to whet your appetite:
Gone are all original members, including fan favorite Slash, but GNR 2002 (featuring keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman, former Primus drummer Brian "Brain" Mantia, bassist Tommy Stinson, and guitarists Buckethead, ex-Nine Inch Nails Robin Fink, and Richard Fortus) has become a cohesive group apt to perform alongside one of rock's best frontmen. Sure it's easy to shine while playing the old hits, but the band really takes off when playing new songs from their upcoming album Chinese Democracy (rumored for a February release). During the inspired ballad "Madagascar" and the uproarious title track, as well as on "The Blues," it is obvious this is a contemporary band to be reckoned with.

Napalm Defecation
Napalm Death guitarist Mitch Harris has reformed one of his previous bands, Defecation. The band will have an album released early next year on Nuclear Blast.
Mudvayne Bonus DVD
Mudvayne are to release a bonus DVD with new album ‘The End Of All Things To Come’ in America. This will include band interviews, plus two previously unreleased songs, ‘ Goodbye’ and ‘On The Move’.
Sepultura Demoing Songs
Sepultura have written ten songs and demoed eight of them for their proposed new album. No recording details have yet been confirmed for the record. Sepultura are shortly to release their covers EP ‘Revolusongs’ via SPV.
Sinister Singer Forms Death Squad
Singer Mike (ex Sinister / Houwitser) has formed a new band DEATH SQUAD . The other members are guitarist Walter (ex Mandator / Radiator) Drummer Michel and guitarist J.G. The band is still looking for the right bass player. At the moment, Death Squad is negotiating for the right record deal. The band has enough songs to record a full length album, some titles are; Hellhounds, Time to burn, pazuzu, Chaotic breed, Victims of deception.
Death Squad has already played a few shows in Holland, Germany and Czech republic.
