Dark Moor Record Four New Tracks

Dark Moor has recorded 4 new tracks for a special edition album to be released on 21.04.2003. This album will contain in total 8 tracks where fans can we find 4 tracks never released in the European market, too. These tracks were recorded during the recording sessions of " The Hall Of The Olden Dreams " & "The Gates Of Oblivion" albums.
This is the track list of the album: " A Lament Of Misery" (New), "Memories" (New), "From Dusk To Dawn" (New) , "Echoes Of The Sea" (New), Dies Irae (Orchestral Version), "The Shadow Of The Nile", "Mistery Of Goddess" and "The Fall Of The Melniboné". Napalm Death, The Great Deceiver Tour Dates

The Swedish quintet, The Great Deceiver, have been announced as the main support for the mighty Napalm Death on a 17 date tour around Europe, they miss the three Finnish dates & join the tour on the 1st December in Germany.

After Christmas The Great Deceiver will enter the studio to record the follow up to the highly acclaimed debut album 'A Venom Well Designed'. This time the band have chosen to work at Dug Out in Uppsalla. Daniel Bergstrand (Strapping Young Lad, Meshuggah, In Flames & Darkane) will produce the album with the band. Dark Angel Reunion tour Postponed

The reformed Dark Angel — featuring guitarists Jim Durkin and Eric Meyer, vocalist Ron Rinehart, and drummer Gene Hoglan — have issued an official statement regarding the postponement of their previously-announced West Coast tour, originally set to take place in December. It is as follows:

"We regret to announce that the Dark Angel shows in December are being rescheduled for March 2003, due to numerous personal scheduling conflicts within the band. Our sincere apologies go out to everyone who has been inconvenienced because of this. It is our intention to appear at the same venues, and to include several more dates to the tour as well. As soon as the new dates are confirmed they will be posted on the D.A. website at www.thebiitch.com. We appreciate the support of all of our fans, and there are several exciting new developments that we will announce in the very near future. — Eric Meyer"

Into Eternity Announce Dates

The critically-acclaimed band Into Eternity will be playing two shows in their native Canada before traveling south to open for Vader and Immolation for four dates. Silentium to work with Holopainen

Finnish atmospheric doom metallers Silentium will enter Sundicoop Studio in Savonlinna on Jan. 13, 2003 to record their third full-length album, Harmátia de Prudence, with producer and Nightwish mainman Tuomas Holopainen.

"I felt I needed some outsider's view for my songs and Tuomas crossed my mind," said keyboardist Sami Boman. "He's definitely one of the greatest songwriters in the scene, and he has also showed interest towards our music. Now when Nightwish is at a break, he had time and passion for this project."

"The album will include eight-nine songs, lasting approximately an hour," reads a press release from the group's label, Spikefarm Records (a division of Spinefarm). More...

Konkhra to Shoot Video

Danish extreme metallers Konkhra have announced plans to shoot a video for the track "Warmonger", off their upcoming Reality Check CD. "The lyrical content calls for a location with some spiritual, eerie vibes going so we are looking into setting everything up inside a church or something like that," the band said on their official web site. "More news on this as it comes in....stay tuned."

Konkhra are still negotiating with labels for the release of their fifth studio album, due in early 2003. The group were previously signed to Diehard Records.

Exmortem's Pestilence Empire

Danish death metallers Exmortem have revealed that new album, Pestilence Empire, will be released on Osmose Productions on November 25, 2003.

"Expect a darker and more obscure album," explains mainman Sigtyr. "The sound is more natural and raw, we have moved away from the very clinical/triggered sound that so many death metal bands use these days! Still every instrument comes through loud and clear! Everyone that has heard it so far has praised it even more than the last album and we have indeed high expectations with this bastard!"

Throneaeon Signs with Forensick

Swedish death metallers Throneaeon have officially signed over to Slovakia's Forensick Music after a one-album stint with Hammerheart Records.

States Throneaeon in their official newsletter: "Just recently the band inked a deal with the Slovakian label Forensick Music and so far the new partnership looks very promising! Studio Underground is booked during December this year for the recording of the next full-length and the new material promises that it will be a killer follow-up to Neither of Gods."

The Gathering's Souvenirs

Holland's The Gathering have titled their new album, Souvenirs, the first full-length off longtime label Century Media, and appear to be in the finishing stages of recording the album.

Souvenirs features 10 tracks at 50 minutes. The full track titles are: "A life all mine" (with Trickster G from Ulver), "Even the spirits are afraid", "Broken Glass", "We just stopped breathing", "Golden Grounds", "Jelena', "You learn about it", "Souvenirs", and some other tracks which don't have titles yet, according to the band.

The Gathering hope to have the album released by February 2003, and are expected to license the album out to the world, much in the same manner as the acclaimed Black Light District. No official label for the U.S. market has been announced as of yet.

The Project Hate to Sign with Mascot

Sweden's The Project Hate, featuring members of Entombed, House of Usher and Leukemia, look to be on the verge of signing a two-album deal with Holland's Mascot Records (The Gathering, Occult) after a falling out with former label Massacre Records.

"We are about to sign to Mascot Records and the coming two albums will probably be on that label," revealed stated guitarist Lord K (Kenth Philipson). "We hope for a good co-operation, anything is better than Massacre anyways."

"It's the album we recorded in 1998 that I decided not to release as I wasn't satisfied with the other people's performances on it," continued Lord K. "This is what made me form TPH with J. This is the initiation to the blasphemy that is The Project Hate. Hence the title. Mia's vocals are excellent and prolly the best she ever did, and the songs are insanely good as I wrote it and played it as always. With J doing the vocals, we have one more dominating piece of hell coming yer way. If you love us already, you will love us even more with this one." More...
