The Project Hate to Sign with Mascot
Sweden's The Project Hate, featuring members of Entombed, House of Usher and Leukemia, look to be on the verge of signing a two-album deal with Holland's Mascot Records (The Gathering, Occult) after a falling out with former label Massacre Records.
"We are about to sign to Mascot Records and the coming two albums will probably be on that label," revealed stated guitarist Lord K (Kenth Philipson). "We hope for a good co-operation, anything is better than Massacre anyways."
"It's the album we recorded in 1998 that I decided not to release as I wasn't satisfied with the other people's performances on it," continued Lord K. "This is what made me form TPH with J. This is the initiation to the blasphemy that is The Project Hate. Hence the title. Mia's vocals are excellent and prolly the best she ever did, and the songs are insanely good as I wrote it and played it as always. With J doing the vocals, we have one more dominating piece of hell coming yer way. If you love us already, you will love us even more with this one."
The Project Hate's new album, The Project Hate - Deadmarch, The Initiation of Blasphemy, should be out sometime in early 2003 if all goes well with Mascot Records. Until then, the band are looking for a permanent vocalist to replace the departed Mia Ståhl, who left the band due to commitment issues.
