Tygers Of Pan Tang Shares New Live Track
Welcome to the first single and video from the soon to be unleashed live album from the Tygers Of Pan Tang, "Live Blood." "Gangland," which first appeared on the iconic “Spellbound” record, has been a staple of the Tygers live set since it made its first appearance in 1981.
Bass player Huw Holding, the most recent recruit to the Tygers camp, was astonished at the reaction to "Gangland" when he first joined the band. "It definitely leans towards the heavier side of our live show and the crowd love it" he remarked.
"Gangland" is also one of the first songs that, the then new vocalist Jon Deverill, wrote with the band. He recently described it as "…A diatribe against the establishment, politicians and corruption in high places - quite relevant in 2024 as it happens!." More...
Ater Reveals New Album "Somber" Details
Monolithic Chilean extreme metal band Ater will unleash their long-anticipated sophomore album, "Somber," on April 19th with Torque Records. The South American band's follow-up to 2018's "Eternal Gray Spiral," is a cataclysmic melding of black, death, progressive and thrashing groove for one of the year's devastating heavy metal records.
Commenting on the impending record's release, Ater states:
"We are extremely excited to finally reveal our new album ’Somber’. After hard years in the making, we have completed our vision. ‘Somber’ represents a new chapter for Ater, as you are about to see. We have found our sound with ‘Somber’ and we are thrilled to finally release it. We cannot wait to bring this new music live to as many audiences as we possibly can. We have created something unique blending our influences into a new sound that we don’t know how to label yet. We are interested to see what people will name our sound and what sub-genre of metal we will be related to. For the artwork of this album we have worked with the fantastic Erik Kirchner, who captured the world of ‘Somber’ better than anybody could. Hope to see you all on the road!"
Today, the band has debuted the crushing new single "Ignis Immortalis." You can check it out below.
Ater adds about the single:
"We have selected 'Ignis Immortalis' as the first single from our new album ’Somber,’ because it represents where we are as a band today and encapsulates well what the album has in store for our listeners. This track is special to us, as it was the first collaboration between main writer Fernando and guitarist Josh. After writing it over the span of almost two years, Fern came up with a demo of the song and after presenting it to the band, Josh took it and wrote all the lyrics and melodies."
Fernando comments:
"This was a challenging song to compose. The first half of intro and fast black metal section was written early in the writing process of ‘Somber’. It was very difficult to come up with music to follow after those sections and it took me over a year to finally figure it out. Once it was done, Josh was very inspired by it and surprised us all with all the lyrics." More...

As poetic as it sounds, a tour of this magnitude took nearly of year of preparing and planning which would require a lot commitment, ethics and loyalty to their fans, as well as respecting for the band's history, something that is a clear priority to Andreas Kisser, Derrick Green and Paulo Xisto.
"However, on February 6th a few days prior to the first rehearsal, drummer Eloy Casagrande informed the band that he was leaving Sepultura to pursue a career in another project. The band were taken by surprise, without prior warning, he immediately left the band, abandoning everything related to Sepultura.

Fleshgod Apocalypse Splits With Bassist/Vocalist
Italian symphonic death metal veterans Fleshgod Apocalypse has announced that after two decades, bassist/clean vocalist Paolo Rossi has parted ways with the band. A statement reads as follows:
"We'd never thought this moment would come but, after twenty years of friendship and collaboration, Paolo decided to change his life's path and take a step back from the band.
"The pandemic turned out being an extremely tough challenge for everyone, especially musicians. After trying everything possible to cling to the music business without “shortcuts”, Paolo found another job that, although outside our field, was a great opportunity for him and granted stability during those turbulent times.
"When life started getting back to normal, allowing us to play live shows again, we encountered many difficulties in making his new commitments coexist with our touring schedule.
Paolo tried really hard for over a year to make it happen, even involving temporary replacements like Ludovico Cioffi (Delain), who we thank a lot for his help, but unfortunately these were not the necessary conditions to make it all work. Therefore, he took the tough decision to step down from his role in Fleshgod Apocalypse.
"He will always remain part of our family. Moving forward, the band will remain a five piece unit, with Francesco taking on bass duties and Veronica now handling all clean vocals. We support his decision and we invite you all to join us in wishing him and his family all the best.
"As a last gift to our fans, we decided to portrait this transition with a piece of art, through the capable hands of visionary Italian photographer Francesco Esposito, who created the masterpiece you can see here.
Paolo will always be with us, we wouldn't be where we stand today without his contribution.
"Thank you all for your constant love and support, see you on the road." More...
