Triskelyon Unveils New Lyric Video

Triskelyon is the new Canadian melodic thrash metal project created by Geoff Waye, guitarist for Artach and Category VI. Conceived in late 2021 as a studio-only project, they recently unleashed their debut self-titled EP this past January 25th. The band features the contributions of vocalists Pete Healey and Marlee Ryley (Hyperia), along with drum programming by Raul Marques (Burning Torment).

Today, they are unveiling their latest lyric video for the fastest and most intense song on the EP, "Odyssey (Blessed by Steel)" featuring vocals from Hyperia's Marlee Ryley.

"It's speedy and full-throttle thrash. The lyrics are again personal and about my musical life journey as told through using song references, which an astute listener may be able to pick up on," adds Waye.

Comments Opeth mainman Mikael Åkerfeldt, ”We’re excited to come back to North America for the second leg of shows together with our ‘brothers from other mothers’ in Mastodon. And… hello, Canada! It’s been too long, we know! We’ll soon dust off the ole guitars etc. and get in shape for this run. The last tour was quite splendid; the only downside being the restrictions. We don’t know for sure how it’s going to pan out this time around, but we’re hoping for a bit more freedom to move around. Crossing fingers here. See you semi-soon! Signing off from a rainy, gloomy Stockholm, Mikael (on behalf of Opeth).”

Mass Worship Posts New Visualizer Video Online

"The human existence is but a blink of an eye to the universe. We came from nothing, to nothing we will return -- and the passage of time will deem us irrelevant," says the band about "Empyrean Halls" that is also the concept of "Portal Tombs" in a nutshell.

Find a visualizer focusing on the artwork of the album, that was released on Friday, below.

"Portal Tombs" is a terrifying but electrifying exploration of the gloomy depths of human nature: a monolithic manifestation of the musical force that is Mass Worship. The album features guest appearances by Jonas Sta°lhammar of At The Gates, Mark "Barney" Greenway of Napalm Death, and Jonas Renkse of Katatonia/Bloodbath. “It’s pretty mind-blowing to have members of such inspirational pioneers on our own album”, says the band. Drawing inspiration from bands such as At The Gates, Mastodon and Meshuggah, Mass Worship could be likened to many bands, but somehow forge their musical identity into something exceptionally distinctive and transcendent, and with enough confidence and conviction to win over even the most orthodox fans of the genre.
