Glasseater On Next Release

Glasseater will be in the studio for the duration of February with producer Jame Wisner (Dashboard Confessional, Further Seems Forever, Rocking Horse Winner). According to the band, the new material is more aggressive and "we believe to be the best stuff." The record hasn't been titled yet, but look for it in late May on Fearless Records.

Billboard Music Awards

Godsmack were named Rock Artist of the Year on Tuesday at the 2001 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. Creed picked up two trophies, including one for Catalog Artist of the Year, while Incubus' "Drive" snagged Modern Rock Single of the Year honors. Linkin Park won in the Modern Rock Artist of the Year category.

The band, which now features ex-Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell on vocals, has decided to continue using the Rage Against the Machine moniker. The group currently is working on its first release since the departure of singer Zack De La Rocha. The disc tentatively is due to drop Feb. 26.
