Decapitated Finish Recording Nihility
Poland's death metal prodigies Decapitated have completed the recording of "Nihility," the much-anticipated follow-up to their 1999 Earache/Wicked World debut, "Winds of Creation." US and European release is set for early 2002.
Ephel Duath Complete Recording
Italy's progressive black metallers Ephel Duath have completed the recording of their Earache/Elitist debut, "Rephormula." Ephel Duath is the first band to be signed to Earache with the help of A&R mastermind Lee Barrett (who introduced the world to Emperor and Opeth) and his company, Elitist Records. UK/Euro release is January 28; US release is set for January 22, 2002.

Apartment 26 Lose Drummer
Apartment 26, the band featuring Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler’s son Biff, have parted with drummer Jeremy Colson. This comes as the band prepare to record their second album, ‘Detachment’, with co-producers Jason Slater and A Perfect Circle’s Troy Van Leeuwen. Expect the album to be released next year.
