Attacker To Release New Album
New Jersey's Attacker is working on forthcoming album "Giants of Canaan," which will feature artwork created by Jowita Kaminska. Jowita comments on the release:
"The Lords of Thunder are back after a short hiatus! New Jersey based legendary power/traditional heavy metal act Attacker strikes with their 5th (and 3rd after the reunion) album, taking no prisoners. All vital ingredients for a classic metal album are on board here: very classic guitar work with genuine mid-'80s feel, mighty galloping riffs, precise, powerhouse drumming supported by thunderous bass.
"And last but definitely not least: the bloody impressive vocal performance courtesy of the new singer, Bobby 'Leather Lungs' Lucas, known from the first two Seven Witches and Overlorde albums. His emotion-filled voice displays a great range, from soothing or chilling calmer singing to aggressive and powerful air-raid siren wails and screams, straight from the school of Dickinson and Rivera.
"Just try NOT to raise your fist or sing along to those songs... if you manage this, you are probably hearing-impaired! All this goodness is rounded up with a perfect recording, well-balanced mix and warm production that steers away from the awful modern digital sound plaguing even some traditional metal albums nowadays. Will, Love Life is heavier, more mature, atmospheric and darker than our previous album, but also very positive and still full of symbolism."
Machinist Bastien Jacquesson also issued the following statement about the artwork: “The pyramid on the cover is a mystical sign, a sign of spiritual elevation and knowledge. It is also linked with Aleister Crowley and the Thelema mythology which always been a big influence for us. The cover art photo was taken by our great friend Anthony Dubois who's also known as Meshuggah's official photographer and French painter Charlotte Mollet drew each of the eleven signs that represent the eleven tracks of the record. Each symbol has a special meaning linked with the song's lyrics.”
Fans can catch As They Burn on tour with Betraying the Martyrs in February throughout Europe before joining Job For A Cowboy, War From A Harlots Mouth, and Beneath the Massacre on Bonecrusher Fest in Europe beginning March 1st. More...

"We have played countless shows with some amazing bands, with great old friends and also some rad new ones.
"We have destroyed ourselves financially (and physically), lost members, gained members, had stuff stolen from us, had our van broken into etc but it all makes for an amazing experience and the rad times outweigh the bad by a mile.
"The response to 'Desperation Is The English Way Vol. 1' was a million miles beyond what we could have expected and we can only hope that the follow up in March 2013 will be equally well received.
"Thanks to everyone who reviewed the record/shows, gave us a floor to sleep on, a floor to play on, people who bought a t-shirt, a record, a patch and most of all the people who stood and watched." More...
