Within Temptation To Release New Album
In a recent interview with Metal Hammer, Sharon Den Adel of Dutch symphonic metal outfit Within Temptation revealed that the band will release their seventh album, "Resist," on December 14th via Spinefarm Records/Universal Music Germany.
Speaking about the record, vocalist Sharon Den Adel tells Metal Hammer: "Sometimes it feels that today’s pop music lacks a rebellious edge. Our main goal was to collect pieces from sounds we did like then roughen the whole thing up as much as we could, allowing us to shape a new musical world that is heavier, dirtier and more futuristic than we’ve ever created before. Resist is our new take on metal; our way of giving a fresh lease of life to the rebellious edge of modern music."

Motley Crue To Reunite For New Material
Glam metal legends Motley Crue, who bid farewell to their fans on December 31st 2015, will be getting back together soon to record four new songs, according to a Tweet sent by lead singer Vince Neil today. In the post, Neil stated:
"Exciting news! I’ll be going back in recording studio in a few weeks with the boys to record 4 brand new Mötley Crüe tracks! Rock On!!"
While no confirmation has been given by guitarist Mick Mars, drummer Tommy Lee or bass player Nikki Sixx, the latter two have recently been working with producer Bob Rock on material, which is rumoured to be for their biopic, "The Dirt," based on the book of the same name.
Bloodbath Posts New Lyric Video Online
Death metal supergroup Bloodbath has posted a new lyric video online for the song, "Bloodicide." You can check it out below. The song comes from the band's forthcoming new studio album, "The Arrow of Satan is Drawn," which is set to be released on October 26th. The song features guest appearances from Jeff Walker (Carcass), Karl Willetts (Bolt Thrower) & John Walker (Cancer.)
The track was penned by vocalist Old Nick (Nick Holmes), who explains his choice of guests “The lads play a part in representing the backbone of the old school British Death Metal scene, which has also been a big influence on Bloodbath since the beginning.”
Excited to be a part of the band’s new opus, Carcass’ Jeff Walker commented "I owed Nick a tenner, so he told me instead of sending the bailiffs round he would kindly let me pay off my debt by contributing vocals to his new album. Imagine my great disappoint when I found out it wasn’t for THAT band but, was in fact for Bloodbath. I have great faith in him that my vocals will be lower than his in the mix." More...

Armed For Apocalypse Premiere New Track
Armed For Apocalypse have scheduled a September 28th release date for their upcoming EP, “Palm Reader“. That four song effort will be a digital release with a new full-length planned to follow in early 2019. A new track from it entitled “Forced To An End” can be streamed below.

“I think we all fall victim to being stuck at a day job that we hate at a certain point in our lives. I remember pacing around work one day feeling trapped somewhere that I didn’t want to be, making someone else’s dreams come true rather than my own. Sure, it’s scary to be financially unstable in order to pursue what you love to do, but it’s absolutely crippling to think about being stuck at a place you’re miserable at just for a paycheck.”

YouTuber/musician Sarah Longfield premieres a music video for her new single “Cataclysm” off her upcoming album, “Disparity“. Season Of Mist will have that effort out on November 30th. Says Sarah Longfield of the new single:
“This song is so fun for me to play. There’s a pretty big Animals As Leaders influence, which makes sense as I wrote it the day after seeing one of their shows in Providence, RI. It’s a combo of the way my style has developed over the last few years yet still pays homage to my heavier roots. Hope you enjoy!”

Metallica Share 1989 Live Video Of “Blackened”
Metallica share the below live clip of their song“Blackened” that was recorded during a September 15th, 1989 show at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA. This video will be included on the forthcoming deluxe box set edition of the band’s 1988 album “…And Justice For All“, which will be out on November 02nd via the group’s own Blackened Recordings label.

Architects Premiere New Song & Video "Hereafter"
Architects‘ new full-length “Holy Hell“ will be released on November 09th via Epitaph Records. The effort will mark the group’s first since the passing of their guitarist Tom Searle, who died in August of 2016 after a lengthy cancer battle. A video for the first track from it called “Hereafter“, has premiered and is streaming below.
