Relentless Raven Wrecks London

When digging through what was labelled the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, fans can find a plethora of amazing music, with so many different styles of heavy metal at a time before the likes of thrash and death metal were established genres. A common theme though is bands losing members to the point where groups such as Diamond Head, Tygers Of Pan Tang, Saxon and Venom only have one member who appeared on the first album. However, one of the era's most exciting bands, Raven, still have their backbone firmly in place, as the Gallagher brothers (John and Mark) are still going and after forty four years, making sure the Raven is flying as high as ever. Now with a new drummer, Mike Heller, the trio are on a headlining tour across Europe and all who attend are guaranteed a great show.

Opening up their final British show of the tour was Manchester based hard rockers, Heavy Sentence. I've criticised some bands in the past for offering nothing new but in this case, it was good fun to hear some no frills, balls out rock and roll in the vein of Motorhead and Rose Tattoo. As opening band, they almost naturally played to the smallest crowd of the night, though those that weren't here were treated to some hard and heavy, foot tapping rock. Sometimes the simplest things in life can be the finest. More...

Kamelot Posts New Video Online

Following the first leg of a massive World Tour in North America during April and May, it’s now time kick off the next leg and bring The Shadow Theory overseas! Kamelot is returning to Europe for their biggest headliner tour to date. Special guests on the tour include Leaves’ Eyes, Visions of Atlantis, Dynazty (Sweden), Circus Maximus (Oslo) vocalist Lauren Hart (Once Human) and more!

Just in time for the upcoming tour, the band has released a brand new music video for the track "MindFall Remedy!" The live footage is taken from Kamelot's North American tour and just offers a glimpse of what you can expect when the band takes the stage.

"The North American Tour was our biggest ever and we had to chronicle it in some way, the fans were so amazing. We decided to shoot this video and mix in scenes from the tour. We cannot wait to return to the US and Canada for the next run!", states Kamelot's Thomas Youngblood.

The meaning of the song and title "MindFall Remedy" sparks some debate, but Kamelot singer Tommy Kaverik sums it up beautifully:

"In this material world, full of vanity and beautifying filters, it is easy to turn to those things when looking for validation and comfort. We have come to expect external gratification to lift us up, solve our insecurities and give us a meaningful existence. With this song we want to encourage people to look inside themselves for answers. Only then can we fully learn to respect and love ourselves and grow as people. There is a way to unlock your inhibitions, and only you possess the key..." More...

Racetraitor Debut “BLK XMAS” From New Album

Good Fight Music will be releasing a new album from Racetraitor entitled “2042” on October 12th. An official music video for the first single, “BLK XMAS“, is streaming now below.

Comments frontman Mani Mostofi :

“‘BLK XMAS‘ is really about how absurd it is that people, like the Fox News crowd, try to insist that Jesus or even fictional characters like Santa Clause are white. On one hand it is totally absurd and laughable but on the other hand, it goes hand and glove with the type of racist and xenophobic sense of cultural purity that gives rise to something like Trump.

Whether it is ‘Fear of a Black Planet’ or ‘Fear of a Spanish speaking America,’ it’s all propaganda designed to get white people to follow a political line that barely benefits most of them beyond a false sense of superiority.”
