The title of the follow up to Mortiis' 2001 critically acclaimed 'The Smell Of Rain' has been confirmed as 'THE GRUDGE' and is scheduled for release on September 13 2004 in Uk and Europe and Sept 14 USA.
The album has been recorded over the last six months at Silvertone Studios in Fredrikstad, Norway by Mortiis (Vocals, Synths, Programming, Sound Design), Levi Gawron, (Guitar), Asmund Sveinunggard (Guitar) and Leo Troy (Drums) and has been co-produced by Vegard Blomberg and was mastered at Norway's premier facility 'The Living Room' in Oslo.
Earache's sub-Label Elitist is pleased to announce that the eccentric Finnish metallers, Farmakon are making their live UK debut at The Peel in Kingston (tel: 020 8255 8104) this Sunday 27th June.
The band's debut album for Elitist 'A Warm Glimpse', a schizoid mix of influences from Scandinavian death metal to lounge-jazz, earned them praise worldwide and lead to Farmakon being described as "Opeth on a head-on collision with Mr. Bungle"

SOIL are currently at Chasin Jason studio (owned by Dimebag Darrell of DAMAGEPLAN) in Dallas, Texas recording a few acoustic tracks with producer Vinnie Paul (DAMAGEPLAN) during two days off from the SHINEDOWN/SOIL tour. Sterling Winfield (PANTERA, MERCYFUL FATE, DAMAGEPLAN) is engineering the sessions. More details will be made available soon.
Judas Priest rocker Rob Halford is desperate to catch tribute band Nudist Priest when he tours with rocker Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath on the OZZfest tour this summer - because they play naked. The singer, who is fronting the classic British rockers again after a 12-year-break, is hoping to track down a tour list for the wacky tribute act.
Halford says, "My former guitarist Pat Lachman saw them at a club in Los Angeles, and they played naked."
Oscar nominee Johnny Depp has begun negotiations over starring as rocker Ozzy Osbourne in a forthcoming biopic. The 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: Curse Of The Black Pearl' star is the former Black Sabbath singer and wife Sharon's first choice to take on the coveted role, but say he's not yet committed to the project. Ozzy says, "We're talking to Johnny but it's not 100 percent yet."
Dog Fashion Disco have chosen "Deja Zoo" as the title to their upcoming trek with Tub Ring, Bad Acid Trip and various local openers. The schedule for the trek has been shaping up recently and currently looks as follows:
