Primal Fear Drops "Far Away" Music Video

Commanding, fierce, and & triumphing since 1997 - there’s no better way to describe Germany’s premier power metal band, Primal Fear. The band have just unveiled details about their upcoming album "Domination," set to drop on September 5, 2025 via RPM.

To celebrate this announcement, the lead single "Far Away" has officially landed on streaming platforms worldwide. Packed with all the signature elements of a classic Primal Fear anthem - soaring melodies, thunderous drums and bass, and a blistering twin-guitar solo - the track also carries a powerful sense of yearning, brought to life by Ralf Scheepers’ unmistakable vocals. Filmed at Dennis Ward’s Kangaroo Studios in Karlsdorf-Neuthard, Germany, where the "Domination" recording sessions took place in late 2024, "Far Away" is also available now as a performance-style music video on YouTube.

Scheepers explains the meaning behind the single: "It’s an expression of faith and trust, no matter where or what. We all know this feeling of missing someone so much, not being able to see or hear him/her every day - especially as musicians whilst touring."

Going strong for nearly three decades, the band founded and still led by Mat Sinner (bass, vocals) and Ralf Scheepers (vocals) have never let down their global fanbase. Relentless and constantly pushing their limits, Primal Fear ensure that no two albums ever sound the same. After "Code Red" [2023] hit some of the highest chart positions of their career, expectations for the next release were higher than ever. Now joined by gifted guitarist Thalìa Bellazecca and former touring drummer André Hilgers, the quintet were more than up for the challenge. And as "Domination" makes clear, no obstacle is too great for Primal Fear's powerhouse songwriting trio - Sinner, Scheepers, and guitarist Magnus Karlsson, who also rejoins the band’s live line-up after several years away.

From the hard-hitting opener "The Hunter" and first single ‘Far Away,’ to the uplifting mid-tempo anthem "Tears Of Fire" and the epic ballad "Eden" - featuring a surprise guest appearance by Ad Infinitum's Melissa Bonny - "Domination" delivers on all fronts. Add in neck-breakers like "Scream2 and "Crossfire," and the reflective, string-and-piano-driven closer "A Tune I Won’t Forget," and it’s clear: Primal Fear aren’t here to reclaim the crown - they’re here to prove they’ve never left the throne of heavy/power metal royalty. Celestial Sanctuary Releases New Music Video

UK death metal goliaths Celestial Sanctuary are pleased to present their video for "Choking On The Rotten Seed." You can check it out below. The track comes off the band‘s critically adored "Visions Of Stagnant Blood" EP, recently reissued by Metal Blade Records.

Comments vocalist/guitarist Thomas Cronin: "The idea behind the video was to introduce ourselves and what we're about to people who haven't heard our band yet, and there's a lot of people out there who haven't got a fucking clue who we are.

"Stylistically, we really just wanted to capture that essence and feeling of discovering your new favorite band on Headbangers Ball at 2:00am. We're not trying to recreate any particular video or look like we're of another era, but those videos that have stuck with us are mostly just the bands walking around the town they're from, playing in some skanky little room or live footage of them doing their thing. Too many bands get caught in the trap of trying to create some fuckin' viral moment or having something super polished and sleek. I have a career as a music video producer, so we could have easily gone and done something like that straight outta the gate. But we're just not about that; our music is hard enough as it is, and we have the attitude to go with it. So why not let that shine for now?

"The history of the area we hail from was a big influence on the lyrical content on this release,” he continues, “so for the exterior shots, we didn't just choose the coolest looking spots; each of them has a significant historical and gory importance... There‘s the ruins of the Abbey of St. Edmunds (now Abbey Gardens): During a big battle in East Anglia, King Edmund was pelted with loads of arrows and then beheaded and discarded in the woods like a rotten sack of meat. Legend has it that his body was found being guarded by a wolf. Then there was The Abbey Precinct/Graveyard, which is where a ton of executions took place throughout the years, where thousands of people would come to watch for entertainment, most notably the execution of William Corder who was guilty of the 'Red Barn Murders.' It's also where the executions -- or should I say murders -- of the witches captured by Matthew Hopkins, 'Witchfinder General' took place. And then there‘s the last one, Skinner Street. Basically, this is the street where the butchers in the area were based. They'd dump all the 'unused' blood out onto the street, which has a bit of an incline, so the blood would flow down this cobbled street and pool at the bottom in the town's jewelry quarter. So, there's stories of people wading through stagnant blood and having to put up with the smell of rotten entrails. Half of us grew up in this town, and it's always just seemed so normal to us - all this gory shit that's happened over the years." More...
