Poison The Well Still Writing More Material

Poison The Well have revealed that their new album will likely be available a bit later than they had previously anticipated. The group recorded the material for the album this spring in Sweden, but will apparently keep writing more material. Here's a statement from the band:

"We thought we where going to be done with [the album] but figured that we have the opportunity to spend more time on it, we might as well do it. We want to deliver the best record we can make and also feel like working more and writing more will make the record better. We expect it to be out sometime next year. I know a lot of you wanted it to be out sooner but don't fear it will get out and it will be something special. We promise this."

Himsa Set Release Date, Video Shoot, Euro Tour

Prosthetic Records will be releasing the eagerly-awaited new HIMSA album, HAIL HORROR, worldwide on Feb. 7, 2006. HAIL HORROR is the follow up to 2003’s critically-acclaimed Courting Tragedy and Disaster. This time around, HIMSA enlisted producer Tue Madsen (The Haunted) to handle mixing and recording, ensuring a tight, intense recording that captures the band’s musical intensity.

The band has already recruited Derek Dale (As I Lay Dying) to shoot the debut video from HAIL HORROR as well. Dale, responsible for the “Rain To The Sounds of Panic” video from HIMSA’s last album, will be meeting up with the band over the Halloween weekend to shoot footage for the track “Sleazevil” in Los Angeles , the day after the “Blackest of the Black” tour ends. The “Sleazevil” video promises to show fans another side of the band and will surely reflect the members' dark sense of humor.

Until then, HIMSA is out on the road, continuing to support Danzig on this year’s “Blackest of the Black” tour. With dates scheduled across the country through the month of October, the band has been previewing a handful of tracks from HAIL HORROR live. Come December, HIMSA will be teaming up with 3 Inches of Blood to tear through Europe.

Here are the upcoming HIMSA tour dates: More...

Korns New Video To Have 4 Rappers In It?

KORN frontman Jonathan Davis has told Billboard.com that the group's video for their new single, "Twisted Transistor", finds Lil' Jon, Xzibit, Snoop Dogg and David Banner stepping into the roles of Davis, bassist Fieldy, guitarist Munky and drummer David Silveria, respectively.

Although Davis declined to reveal specifics, he confirmed KORN appears "somewhere" in the video and that the rap stars will be seen playing instruments, since "they're in our world. Just getting four rappers in the same place is near fucking impossible, but we pulled it off."

Davis said that in addition to the standard-length clip, there will also be a seven or eight-minute mini-movie version. "It's so amazing," he enthused. "It's one of the coolest things I've ever seen."

As previously reported, "Twisted Transistor" is drawn from KORN's upcoming Virgin debut, "See You on the Other Side", due Dec. 6. Davis said the group recorded 12 songs with hitmaking production team the Matrix and another eight with producer Atticus Ross.

"The regular version of the album will have 14 songs, and there'll be a special edition which has 17," Davis told Billboard.com. "The whole record in its entirety is so different. There are some straight-ahead, heavy rock tunes, but they're a different kind of heavy. It's like we have this industrial bastard child that flailed its head out of us."

KORN are expected to launch a full North American tour in March or April.
