Psychostick Posts New Video Online

The kings of comedy rock Psychostick are hitting the road this coming October and November for "The Socks, Sandals & PJ Pants Tour" with Downtown Brown and Danimal Cannon (dates listed below) in support of their new album "DO". But before they hit the road, they want fans to know the comfort of Socks, Sandals and Pajama Pants with their new music video.

"Being the cutting-edge connoisseurs of fashion that we are, we decided to theme our fall tour after our new music video and undeniable style, "Socks, Sandals, and PJ Pants". We encourage all to come to the show in comfort, and forget about overrated things like "dignity" and "self-respect". And we want to see a pajama pants pit." says guitarist Josh 'The J" Key.

Threshold Tells Of "Legends" In London

The idea of performing an album in full is one which has become a common trait these days. Everyone from Slayer and Metallica to Amorphis and even Snoop Dogg performing classic record from their back catalogue in full. Few bands however, take the decision to perform their new album in full and when they do, it can be seen as self-indulgent and short changing the fans, as many British Iron Maiden fans complained when the group played "A Matter Of Life And Death" in its entirety in 2006. Threshold however, have chosen the perfect moment to do this. Their latest album, "Legends Of The Shire" has received overwhelming praise from fans and critics and a year after the release, giving fans time to digest the record and so it seems the opportune time to embark on such an endeavour, which I was able to see at the concluding show in London.

Opening the show was Swiss outfit Maxxwell. Bringing with them a more classic heavy metal sound which would fit in well in arenas, the quintet are a great opening act that filled the room with excitement and a sense of fun. Promoting (heavily) their new album, "Metalized," the old school vibes of songs like, "She's Mine" went down a treat and delighted attendees who were polite enough to turn up early and check them out. Chants of "We want more" as they were finishing up and leaving the stage was an interesting sight for an opening band, especially one which had never performed in the country before. More...

Bane Announces New Album

Originally Serbian, now Montreal based blackened death metallers Bane have announced that their long-awaited 3rd full-length album, entitled "Esoteric Formulae," will be released on November 30th, 2018 on Digital, CD and MC format, while the LP version will be available on a later date. After coming off of a successful North American Tour supporting UADA, a 21-date European Festival run this Summer and having opened for Insomnium, Wolfheart and Bloodshot Dawn on select Canadian dates earlier this year, the band releases their first single ''Bringer Of Pandimensional Disorder'' from the new album which can be viewed below.

Band statement:

''As tradition would have it, we have once again worked with Hellsound Studio owner Honza Kapak (also the drummer of Master's Hammer), who not only mixed & mastered the new opus, but also played the drums on the entire record. Accompanied with special guest appearances by Giulio Moschini (Hour Of Penance) and Amduscias (Temple Of Baal), we really feel that this is a step forward for the band in terms of sound, composition and performance. 'Esoteric Formulae' took a long time to complete, but was well worth the wait as the final product holds no compromise on the band's intent to deliver a fine mixture of powerful, aggressive, yet melodic Blackened Death Metal.'' All Hail The Yeti Premiere New Track

All Hail The Yeti debut another track from their impending new record “Highway Crosses“. Below you can take in “See You Never” from the effort ahead of its November 16th release on Minus Head Records. The group will perform a free album release show at The Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, CA on November 14th.

Speaking of this newest song to be shared, vocalist Connor Gerritty commented:

“The new track, ‘See You Never,’ was one of the first songs written for ‘Highway Crosses‘. The song was written about a person from my past that disrespected me, the band, my friends, our fans and my family. The lyrics say, ‘I am stronger than you, nothing left to prove’ instead of handling this person with violence or physical harm, I turned to bettering myself and fighting harder to be successful in my life.

Sometimes fighting physically is the natural reaction for being wronged. When you stand up for yourself with intellect instead of violence, it shows a far greater amount of self respect and I think in the end it feels like better revenge! Musically, this is the classic AHTY song. It has heavy verses, more hooks than a tackle box and a storming bridge/breakdown to finish it off! It has been crushing live on this current tour with Life Of Agony and I feel that this song will be a staple in our live set!”
