Bludgeoned By Deformity Premiere New Single

The newly formed brutal death metal outfit Bludgeoned By Deformity are set to unleash their debut EP, “Epoch Of Immorality”, on June 6th via Iron Fortress Records. Formed last year by Swank and Studebaker over a mutual love for mid-'90s and early-'00s East Coast death metal, the group delivers a ferocious homage to the genre’s roots. The EP features two notable guest spots:

Chris Basile of Pyrexia lends a guitar solo on “False Deliverance”, a fitting nod given the band takes its name from a Pyrexia track. Don Campan of Waking The Cadaver contributes guest vocals on “Extirpated Human Existence”.

Mammoth Grinder Premiere New Live Video

Mammoth Grinder (featuring members of Power Trip and others) are streaming a live video for their track “Undying Spectral Resonance.” The video was filmed by Mind Decay Productions during their September 08th, 2024 performance at Underground Arts in Philadelphia, PA, where they played alongside Nails and other acts. The track is also the title song from their upcoming EP, which Relapse Records is set to release on November 15th.

Additionally, the band has a release show scheduled for November 14th at the Black Cat in Washington, DC, where Pig Destroyer will be celebrating the anniversary of Terrifyer, with support from Genocide Pact and more.

Pig Destroyer Premiere Demo Version Of "Terrifyer"

Pig Destroyer have released the demo version of the title track from their third album, Terrifyer, ahead of the expanded deluxe 20th anniversary edition, set to drop on November 15th via Relapse Records. The special edition will feature remastered tracks and additional content, celebrating two decades of the album's impact on the deathgrind scene.

To commemorate the anniversary, the band will be performing a special show on November 14th at The Black Cat in Washington, DC. Joining them onstage will be Mammoth Grinder, Genocide Pact, and Entrail Asphyxiation.

Pig Destroyer Premiere New Track “Untitled”

Pig Destroyer will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their third studio album Terrifyer with a special reissue set to drop on November 15th via Relapse Records. The expanded edition now boasts 47 tracks and will be available in deluxe 4-LP, 2-LP, and 2-CD formats, featuring revamped artwork by the original artist Cris Crude. Both Terrifyer and its companion piece Natasha have been remastered for this release. A previously unreleased track titled "Untitled" is now available for streaming.

Former Pig Destroyer Sampler Passes Away

Former Pig Destroyer sampler Blake Harrison has tragically died at the age of 49. In recent years, he had been undergoing health problems and his partner revealed that his heart stopped after being treated for something relatively minor. She has also requested that speculation around his death stop and we will of course respect her wishes at this devastating time.

Harrison joined the band in 2006 and was credited for performing "noise" and samples. He appeared on the albums, "Phantom Limb," "Book Burner" and "Head Cage," as well as the live album, "Pornographers Of Sound: Live In NYC," before parting ways with the band in 2022. He was also known as a founding member of Hatebeak, the death metal band famously fronted by a South African grey parrot. Harrison had also made guest appearances for Misery Index, Rottenness and Sunrot.

Brutal Assault Unveils 23 Additional Bands

Legendary death metal act Carcass is set to make a triumphant return to the Fortress after a five-year hiatus. Joining them is Cytotoxin, promising an onslaught of toxic and brutal death metal. Death/goregrind force from Belgium Aborted will join the lineup alongside Sweden's Dark Tranquillity, renowned for their signature Gothenburg melodic death metal sound. Vltimas, the apocalypse riders, will complete this imaginary death metal circle.

American band Escuela Grind will bring chaos with their grindcore, followed by Misery Index and Rotten Sound, known for their mixes of death and grind genres. The onslaught will culminate with Pig Destroyer.

Representing the black metal genre are American act Akhlys, underground sensation Yellow Eyes, and folk psychedelic ensemble Hexvessel.

From the gothic scene, the lineup will welcome industrial favorites Deathsars and the post-punk-tinged Unto Others. Finnish melodic outfit Kalmah will arrive from the dark swamps, and heavy-rock-metal band Soil will come from overseas. Cynic, known as "tech metallers," will present a special Focus set in celebration of the re-release of their iconic debut album. Additionally, acts like Master Boot Record, with their 8-bit computer sounds, and the brutally honest post-hardcore group Svalbard will offer their unique musical perspectives.

Prepare for some hardcore action as Madball makes a comeback to Brutal Assault, after six years, promising a lively moshpit. Also making their debut at BA are established bands like Cancer Bats, Show Me The Body known for their innovative musical identity, and This Is Hell, recognized for their intense and energetic live performances in the metal punk scene.

Outer Heaven Premiere New Single & Video

Outer Heaven have premiered another track from their impending album, "Infinite Psychic Depths." The song titled "Pillars Of Dust" is accompanied by a new playthrough video. Notably, the track features a special guest appearance by J.R. Hayes, the vocalist of the deathgrinders Pig Destroyer.
