Enforced Unveils New Single "Betting On The End"

Enforced, the unstoppable force of crossover thrash, is back with their blistering new EP, "A Leap Into the Dark." Featuring six powerhouse tracks, this EP delivers everything fans have come to expect from the Virginia-based quintet: searing riffs, unrelenting aggression, and lyrics that pull no punches. Stream the full EP here.

Accompanying the release is the brand-new video for the lead single, "Betting On The End." This incendiary track juxtaposes the idea that “politicians are ’gambling with our lives‘” against the concept that everyday people are doing it for them. "It's a spiral about the devaluation of human life in the modern age. It feels like we're all just chips to be wagered, but at its core, we'd be wagering our own lives regardless. So can you blame an entity for essentially mocking your own behavior? It works both ways and on every level; be it an individual or an overpowered government. The house wins in the end."

Recorded with Lance Koehler, A Leap Into the Dark is a direct follow-up to the band‘s acclaimed 2023 album "War Remains." With three new songs and remastered versions of fan favorites, the EP captures the raw, relentless energy that has become synonymous with Enforced's sound. More...

Enforced To Release New EP In October

Virginia thrash titans Enforced are back with a vengeance, announcing their latest EP "A Leap Into The Dark," set for release on October 25, 2024. The six-song EP features three brand-new Enforced tracks alongside three explosive B-sides, including the fan-favorite "Casket" and blistering covers of English Dogs' "The Chase Is On" and Obituary's "Deadly Intentions." The title track from the EP, "A Leap Into The Dark," is available now, accompanied by an intense new music video available below.

The band’s frontman shares insight into the title track's thematic depth: "'A Leap Into The Dark' is fixated around a very vivid dream I had that I couldn’t forget or erase. Lyrically, it’s about taking a massive leap of faith into a chaotic unknown. It could lead to blessings or towards your downfall. It doesn’t matter; you’re at the moment where you need to make a decision. A Leap Into The Dark is the choice I’ve made. I am not afraid of the unknown."

A Leap Into The Dark is produced and mixed by the renowned Arthur Rizk (Blood Incantation, Power Trip, Kreator, Code Orange), capturing Enforced's unrelenting ferocity in its purest form. Building on the hardcore thrash foundation laid by their critically acclaimed albums "War Remains" (2023) and "Kill-Grid" (2021), the new EP serves as a harbinger of more to come.

Tracklisting:

1. Betting on the End
2. A Leap Into The Dark
3. Deafening Heartbeats
4. Casket (2024 Remaster)
5. Deadly Intentions (Obituary Cover)
6. The Chase is On (English Dogs Cover) More...

Enforced Unveils "Starve" Music Video

On April 28, 2023 Enforced will release their third full-length, "War Remains" (32 minutes of aggressive, no-frills thrash!), via Century Media Records. For a preview of this record, the new single/video, "Starve," can be seen below.

Vocalist Knox Colby states: "Ultimately, 'Starve' is about being forced to produce when there's no resources to do so, you then become the resource that's produced/harvested. If I'm profitless, then I'm expendable, chaff; but even then I could've still given my life.
So the song sketches out the final moments of someone who has given everything they have left to give, and it's still not enough. They starve themselves to death and watch the world they've given everything to save still fall to shit. They give up and go crazy in the end. Their fruitfulness is deemed fruitless; leaving this world in agony; howling to rebel but not the desire to do so. Starved." More...
