Launch Media, Webcasters sue RIAA

I'm glad to see this news. As I previously expressed, I think the RIAA went a little too far in it's suit against Launch.com.

Metallica Rumors

InterSandman.com brings us a pair of rumors about a new bassist and the old one:

ZeNico tells us "MetallicA is dealing with Matt Bissonette (a great bassist who has worked with Satriani, Steve Vai, and much more). I know it from a journalist, and the info is almost sure!!!"

And of ex-Metallica bassist, Jason Newstead:

Rumors are popping up in many places that former Metallica bassist, Jason Newsted might take up the singer/bassist vacancy in Canadian metal band Voivod. 'MBody' song written by Jason appeared on their 1997 album called Phobos.

A release on the band's website Voivod.com says, very cryptically: "Some old friends have called (Not Blacky, Not Snake you diehards) A few changes on the horizon for Voivod" (note: Blacky & Snake are old members of the band, that were also rumored to return to the band's line-up).

Rumors are rumors though - don't beleive them until they're confirmed.
