American Leaves Columbia
American Recordings have severed their ties with Columbia and hooked up with Island/Def Jam.
[This] should make all Slayer fans take notice. Why? Because this deal is the main reason the band's new album, 'God Hates Us All', has been delayed until late August.
This is yet another reported reason for the Slayer album delay. It was previously reported that the delay is due to Rick Rubin remixing some songs. And the recent article by CDNOW covering the opening night of the Extreme Steel Tour still states the release date as July 10.
