Bertlesmann Buys MyPlay.com
Wired reports that Bertlesmann, who owns CDNow, BMG, and has a stock in Napster, has purchased MyPlay.com.
"We are going to create a single music destination site with subscriptions, retail, e-tail, and clubs that we hope will become the leading music destination site," said Andreas Schmidt, president and CEO of the Bertelsmann e-Commerce Group (BeCG). "The digital music brands will still be operating intact, but we want to build one site to come to. The real potential comes in the cross-marketing with the customer base to make sure that core customers get digital and physical offers."

Sepultura Not Tatooing the Planet
Contrary to earlier reports, Sepultura will not be involved with the Tattoo The Planet tour of the UK and Europe. According to Total Rock, the band put this down to their label Roadrunner refusing to put up the necessary money for them to join Pantera, Slayer, Static-X and Cradle Of Filth.
