Eluveitie Drops Off PaganFest 2009 Tour
The Rock The Nation promotion company has issued the following update about Eluveitie dropping off of the 2009 PagaFest tour:
"Hello to all Pagan folks out there!
"We’re almost here for the second edition of PaganFest America and are very excited for this years tour. With the anticipation continuing to mount, this will be THE tour to attend this year, we promise! On a related note, there have been some changes to the tour line up. Unfortunately, Swiss folk band ELUVEITIE will no longer be able to make it on this edition and we’ve decided that it would be wiser to wait for the band to return in the fall since they’ve already played during PaganFest America 2008’s touring cycle. On the bright side, ELUVEITIE will return on a new tour we are currently working on (yes…we’re working on something very cool for this Fall) where ELUVEITIE will play an acoustic and a full metal set and it will be worth the wait. Stay tuned for more info to come!
"With this being said, we have increased the playing times of all the bands on PaganFest America and whether you come for your favorite or for all of the bands, you will get the set time you and the bands deserve!
"On to another update: below are the final date additions to the tour. It is very difficult to get all these fine bands to commit at the right time frames to tour. This year we had to make it a short run because of the bands conflicting schedules. It wasn’t a preference of any kind, just logistics. We will try our best in the future to make this tour go everywhere!" More...

Fool's Game Readies New Album, "Reality Divine"
CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC has announced the release of FOOL'S GAME's debut album, “Reality Divine,” in September 2009.
FOOL’S GAME is the brain-child of guitarist/song-writer MATT CROOKS, pursuing new musical experiences after leaving his previous band DIVISION.
To carry on this project, Crooks recruited some excellent musicians among the ranks of his friends, and so FOOL’S GAME was born with the participation of MATT JOHNSEN (PHARAOH, guitars), LARS F. LARSEN (MANTICORA, vocals), JOHN MACALUSO (STARBREAKER, ex YNGWIE, ex ARK, drums) and NICK VAN DYK (REDEMPTION, keyboards).
The music of FOOL'S GAME is best described as a modern Judas Priest, mixed with an old-fashioned Iced Earth. Add a bit of each of the bands, the members have represented earlier on or are still part of, and you have a dark, thrashy, melodic power metal album.
Here is the "Reality Divine" tracklisting:
Mass Psychosis
When The Beginning Meets The End
Sowing Dead Seeds
As the Field Of Dreams Was Abandoned
The Conqueror Worm
Prelude To The Fair
She Moved Through The Fair
The Wild Swans At Coole
On Endless Planes Of Ignorance
You can check out some of the band's material on their MySpace page.
