Well, yeah, they ARE Dream Theater. Their songs are long. I do not crave any more songs.

Yeah I guess your right, but I have a bad habit of listening songs to death especially for bands like dream theater and their epic writing style. So for me 6 songs will run through me like beer.

I'm actually really glad there are less songs. I was hoping that DT would record a more progressive, experimental concept album. That track listing seems to suggest we could be looking forward to just that.

Got to be one of their better album covers, too. Sexy.

if u want a dream theatre progressive experimental album(s), listen to Liquid Tension Experiment. It's pretty much dream theatre, just no vocals and a different drummer :D btw it's amazing stuff lol

I'd have to agree with Metal2deaths' post, that Train of Thought and Awake are their best albums, but i'd have to add Systematic Chaos to it as well. Every song on that album was amazing, ESPECIALLY The Dark Eternal Night. that's their best song ever!

Now listening to: Disciple - Slayer

Liquid Tension Experiment's drummer IS the same as Dream Theater's drummer (Mike Portnoy). Perhaps you were thinking of the bassist being different (Tony Levin).. but yeah I totally suggest LTE. Although, I do prefer DT.
