Machine Head Announces North American Tour Dates

San Francisco Bay Area metal titans Machine Head have announced the second leg of their North American tour in support of their new album, "Catharsis." The upcoming dates also include the six rescheduled dates from the first leg were vocalist Robb Flynn contracted a severe viral bronchitis lung infection that lasted for seven weeks. The band will once again will be giving fans "an evening with” Machine Head, playing over 2 1/2 hours of classic and new material.

Flynn comments: "We’re really stoked to be hitting the road in the states and our cannabis legalizing brothers up in Canada again. After the first tour in support of Catharsis hitting typical Machine Head strongholds like Chicago, Denver and Oakland, we’ve been really looking forward to doing a 2nd North American run that hits all the nooks and crannies of America, places that a lot of time get left off a traditional tour routing as they are smaller markets, and maybe route way off the the main highways that run through the states. Rock Goddess Parts Company With Bassist

New Wave of British Heavy Metal veterans Rock Goddess, led by sisters Jody and Julie Turner (vocals/guitar and drums respectively,) has announced that they have parted company Tracey Lamb and have had to pull out of an appearance at the Metal Magic festival.

Says the band: "Owing to unforeseen personal circumstances, Tracey is unable to perform at Metal Magic Festival this weekend and unfortunately the band will not be appearing. It is also with regret, she will no longer be able to commit to Rock Goddess and leaves with immediate effect. We wish her all the very best for the future.

"The band will be announcing a new bassist in due course. Thank you so much for the continued support and we can't wait for you to hear the new album. See you on the road soon."

Voivod Reveals New Album Release Date

Currently celebrating their 35th anniversary, Canadian progressive sci-fi metal innovators Voivod have announced a release date of September 21st for their new studio album The Wake via Century Media Records worldwide.

The Wake, the successor to 2013’s Target Earth album as well as the 2016 mini-album Post Society, was recorded and mixed by Francis Perron at RadicArt Recording Studio in Canada. The album‘s artwork was once again created by Voivod drummer Michel “Away” Langevin and can be seen below.

Guitarist and songwriter Daniel “Chewy“ Mongrain" checked in with the following comment about the upcoming release: "It is with great enthusiasm and pride that we will soon share with you the fruit of 2 years of labour in the form of an intricate, intense and colourful journey with our new album The Wake, expanding the boundaries of Voivod's multiverse!" Obliterate Announce US Tour Dates

Victoriaville, QC based deathcore act OBLITERATE have announced a new round of US tour dates supporting their new album Impending Death this August. The tour, which includes a performance at Michigan Metal Fest alongside Whitechapel and Lorna Shore, will see the band performing throughout much of the Midwest and Texas with support coming from Poolside at the Flamingo.
