Eyes Of Ligeia Sign With Paragon Records

Paragon Records has announced their latest signing in the cult ambient doom act Eyes of Ligeia, one of the most unique bands to come out of the Doom circle in quite sometime. The band themselves combine droning ambient, eerie keyboardlines, funeral doom, and minamalist black metal. Their new album will see the light of day in spring of 2006. Hermit Age Ready Full-Length Album

The dark metal band HERMIT AGE is releasing their first full length, titled Sinnocence, after eight years. Created by Diego Voges (ex-Penitence, ex-Megalon), the band, after some time on hold, is back with Lilly on female vocals and a new website, which has a complete biography and details of the band's activities through almost a decade of existence.

The new album has six tracks, with four new songs and two re-recordings of "The Mirror's Inversion" and "When they Awake". The track list is:

The Esoteric Complete New Video

THE ESOTERIC have just completed shooting footage for the video to "Your New Burden" in Palm Springs, Calif. The Lawrence, Kan. natives again selected Matt Bass to direct the video, having previously worked with the director on the video for "Ram-Faced Boy," the first track from the band's 2005 release With The Sureness of Sleepwalking to receive the video treatment. The Esoteric, made up of current and former members of Coalesce, Reggie And The Full Effect, Theta, and Today Is The Day, will be touring yet again this winter to continue supporting the record, which garnered critical acclaim and a label from Alternative Press magazine as one of "100 Bands You Need To Know In 2005."

The Esoteric have spent the last year on the road to support With The Sureness of Sleepwalking with such diverse acts as Every Time I Die, High On Fire, The Red Chord, From Autumn To Ashes, Boysetsfire, and labelmates Himsa, while also appearing on a leg of the Vans Warped Tour, and landing a slot at the coveted New England Hardcore and Metal Festival. Now, the band is proud to announce another long trek across the United States, this time alongside Scarlet, Calico System and Fight Paris.

Salt Lake City death metal band, Blood of the Prophets, post the following message on myspace regarding the break up:

"For those of you who are not aware, Blood Of The Prophets is split up. The only ones left are me,Jimmy and Spence. Kittie To Release "Never Again" EP In February

Canadian metal band KITTIE will be releasing a digital, downloadable EP, entitled "Never Again", on February 7, 2006. Exclusive sneak preview clips of the tracks appearing on the EP will be available on the band's official MySpace.com page before the release date. Starting January 1, one 45-second clip of KITTIE's new material will be available to preview on the official KITTIE MySpace.com page, and a new one will be posted every two weeks until the EP is released.

KITTIE, who parted ways with guitarist Lisa Marx and bassist Jennifer Arroyo earlier in the year, split with longtime label Artemis Records in March 2005 "due to a proposed amendment to the recording budget for the pending fourth KITTIE album," according to a post on the band's web site. The group's most recent CD, "Until the End", was released in July 2004.

Dryline Post New Track Online

Dallas, TX based Dryline have posted the 2nd track, “Cast For Your Heart” from their upcoming Zero-Sum Recordings debut. The track can be heard via their Myspace page.

Their CD titled Reach For The Surface was produced by D Braxton Henry (A Dozen Furies, Jacknife) at 379 Productions in Dallas, TX. The CD will be released by Zero-Sum in March 2006.
