Kittie To Release "Never Again" EP In February

Canadian metal band KITTIE will be releasing a digital, downloadable EP, entitled "Never Again", on February 7, 2006. Exclusive sneak preview clips of the tracks appearing on the EP will be available on the band's official MySpace.com page before the release date. Starting January 1, one 45-second clip of KITTIE's new material will be available to preview on the official KITTIE MySpace.com page, and a new one will be posted every two weeks until the EP is released.
KITTIE, who parted ways with guitarist Lisa Marx and bassist Jennifer Arroyo earlier in the year, split with longtime label Artemis Records in March 2005 "due to a proposed amendment to the recording budget for the pending fourth KITTIE album," according to a post on the band's web site. The group's most recent CD, "Until the End", was released in July 2004.

Why do people always belittle this band and judge them like they're on f***in' trial all the time? 'Cos they're girls? I saw them in England a few years go and they kicked f***in' a$$ then, as they do now and I refuse to buy into the 'girls can't really rock' attitude sh**. If you don't like a band, you just don't like 'em, but it's nothing to do with their sex. Keep it coming Kittie!

I'm not ragging on them for being girls. They just play like a common local band....They could be him aphrodites for all I f***ing care.
I like the idea of a female fronted or all girl band that can alternately be melodic and brutal, Kittie even has potential but they're more than a little nu-metal and the lyrics blow service dog d***.....the riffs are a bit done before too.
Jesus Christ. gytrash, no one said a damn thing about them being chicks before your a$$ came along. All of a sudden you come around and you start firing the sexist accusations like we don't know what the hell we're talking about.
For the millionth time. Kittie sucks. Live they could hardly hold their instruments, much less keep a crowd alert. It's not because they're all female. It's because they don't know how to play instruments. That's the end of it. I don't give a crap about their sex, I'll judge them the same way I do any other metal band, and this one just falls right through.

I still think they're a female Canadian Korn...And I still miss when Fallon Bowman was in the band (*seductively growls*)...But for real, she was a realy good guitarist, for a Kittie member at least...And why does it feel like EVERYONE has a myspace!???!!! Even I have one (I'm so ashamed)...So what do I do? I add them to my friends list *so ashamed*...
gytrash...there is no sexism here...BTW, you should read my thoughts on women in rock/metal in another thread (actually anywhere else, i'd say something here, but i've been getting lazy)...you would've loved the depth of my insight...Oh yeah, be more choosy with where you wanna pull the sex-card...This subject, this topic, isn't where to go, now until LordAgony gets on this topic and says something, then say something...TRUST ME, if no one else says anything stupid/racist/sexist, it'll be LordAgony...believe me...Just wait for him to have an opinion, if you're thinking we're sexist, OMG, wait for that f***er to get on this page...

They seriously have gotten better!!! They're moving up...I mean first they were Glam Metal, then like Nu-Metal, Now they're progressing! They're like Death Metal now! Its awesome! LordAgony, prepare to eat your own words on women in Metal! Same goes for the rest of you who were saying women weren't good in Metal...See, they've improved...\m/ I might actually get their album this time...

..."Never Again"....that begs for a joke, it's just too easy though.
Hopefully they can mature a little bit faster...... This band went from sucking bad, too sucking mildly, to being mostly sh** with some bright moments....If they come up with some real riffs and think up some respectable lyrics Kittie might be good by the time their middle aged and having hot flashes.
As I've said before the drummer has chops and the vocalist can sing and even roar impressively. If I hear some riffs with a little bit of technical-class, I may be moved to actually buy a Kittie record....But that likely will not come to pass.
