Megadeth Added As Headliner For Mystic Festival

Symphony of destruction will resonate at the Gdansk Shipyard! Megadeth, the legends of American thrash metal, will be one of the three headliners of the festival.

Megadeth have had a perfect run since at least the Grammy-winning "Dystopia" (2016), but the truth is that perfectionist Dave Mustaine has kept a fantastic level throughout his career. The album "The Sick, the Dying ... and the Dead!" from 2022 is further proof of this, and even more so the shows where Megadeth confirm their current status as unmatched masters of thrash metal.

Megadeth is, of course, Dave Mustaine, the first guitar of thrash and a one-of-a-kind voice, but his comrades are also masters of their craft. The rhythm section includes bassist James LoMenzo (seen on stage alongside Zakk Wylde, among others) and drummer Dirk Verbeuren (from Soilwork to The Devin Townsend Project). Fantastic guitarist Kiko Loureiro has been replaced live shows for some time by Teemu Mäntysaari of Wintersun, another virtuoso - but Dave doesn't play with others after all. More...
