Edge Of Paradise Releases New Music Video

Los Angeles based cinematic hard rockers Edge Of Paradise are preparing to unleash their epic sixth studio album and Napalm Records debut, "Prophecy," arriving this Friday, March 7, 2025. Today, they unveil "Give It To Me (Mind Assassin,)" their ferocious fourth single featuring Ben V. of industrial goth outfit Ludovico Technique.

"Give It To Me (Mind Assassin)" opens with some of the record's most menacing riffage, pummeling listeners with slamming chugs as siren synths blare in the distance, communicating something awry. Always one to inspire discussion with her lyrics, enigmatic frontwoman Margarita Monet explores the possibility of human thought fusing with machine learning, and whether the benefits of such a biomechanical union are even worth it.

Monet says about "Give It To Me (Mind Assassin)":
"This high-energy, explosive track embodies the ultimate showdown between the human mind and artificial intelligence. An intense battle for the soul, where the fight against digital manipulation becomes a quest for true connection and self-discovery amid the chaos of an increasingly controlled existence.

"We're heading towards a world where we could intertwine with artificial intelligence, redefine reality and possibly unlock limitless potential for ourselves—but what would be the price to pay?" More...

70000 Tons Of Metal 2023: Day Four

They say all good things must come to an end and so it was that the final day of this year's 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise, the first for three years, had a slight air of sadness about it. But metal fans aren't the type to go out with a whimper and thus our fourth day at sea is traditionally the time to go all out with costumes and to lose a few inhibitions.

A bright and early start seemed to be on most sailor's agenda, as everyone wanted to make the most of this last day floating through the Caribbean, and there was certainly no better wake up call than Nightmare. The French power metal squadron have been going for some time now but this was the first chance many fans and onlookers had to hear new vocalist Barbara Mogore, who is 100% natural in her new job, giving the impression that she's always been leading the line. Perhaps as was to be expected, the band gave a good deal of attention to their latest album, "Aeternam," performing the title track as well as the songs, "Crystal Lake," "Divine Nemesis" and "Downfall Of A Tyrant." "Dead Sun" was also represented with four songs, including the title track which opened the set and "Starry Skies Gone Black" which closed it. Fans don't need to worry about the future of Nightmare with a new vocalist, as they're clearly in very capable hands. More...

Edge Of Paradise Shares Two Videos For "Believe"

Los Angeles, California based hard rock/heavy metal outfit Edge Of Paradise has released a new lyric video for the single, "Believe." The video follows on from the official music video, which was also posted this past week. You can watch both below. To delve deep into the art and the story of Believe, head here.

"The Unknown" is Edge Of Paradise's fourth studio album, coming on the heels of their Frontiers Music Srl debut, Universe. The band teamed up with renowned producer Howard Benson (Halestorm, My Chemical Romance, Seether) who, together with Mike Plotnikoff (Halestorm, Three Days Grace), and Neil Sanderson (Three Days Grace) helped the band craft their biggest sounding album yet. Add in mixing and mastering by Jacob Hansen (Amaranthe, Volbeat, Pretty Maids) and you have a fool-proof recipe for a sonically stunning album. The Unknown builds upon where Universe left off, developing Edge Of Paradise's overall symphonic and metallic sound while bringing it to the next level. Gigantic hooks paired with monolithic guitar riffs in a spacious sea of symphonic sounds will immediately grab listeners and whisk them away on the band's sonic, and lyrical, journey. More...

Edge Of Paradise Posts New Video Online

"Face Of Fear" encapsulates, in grand form, the prior evolution of Edge Of Paradise as the band turns a page to a whole new world of sound, revealed in the coming months of 2019, in the form of their third album, Universe.

Singer, Margarita Monet states; "I want to dedicate this song/video to a childhood friend of mine who took his own life, and to all those who battle their inner demons. There is a lot of hatred in this world, and the wide reach of internet and social media enables and disguises those behind it. This darkness about our society plays a big role on our mental state. If you experience negativity of others, just remember that all actions are rooted in love or fear, and hate is the face of fear! We can not let this effect us, instead we have to break the cycle and rise above it, be good and support one another regardless of race, social status or place of birth and remember that all life is worth fighting for."

Sponsored by Souls Of Rock Foundation, and directed by Val Rassi, the "Face Of Fear" video was filmed on location in the grandiose landscape of Iceland, in hopes that the beauty and magic of the planet we live on, can inspire and empower. The band chose to film in many vast remote locations, regardless of the difficulty in getting there. Both the film crew and band members embraced this challenge. For that reason, the collective decision was made to refrain from making a video full of special effects, and to focus on the massive, awe inspiring Iceland landscape, captured by our drone pilot and photographer Darren Lafreniere! Edge Of Paradise Premieres "Alive" Video

California outfit Edge Of Paradise is on the cusp of releasing a new five song EP titled "Alive" on March 10th, and today we're bringing you an exclusive look at the title track with a brand new video directed by Val Rassi.

Like what you hear? The title track is also available as a single via iTunes here.

Edge Of Paradise front woman Margarita Monet states: "This song is extremely contagious, with the heavy hitting/ industrial beat, and a chorus that'll get your blood pumping!"

She goes on to say, "'Alive' is dealing with us humans being so caught up in the digital world, obsessed with convenience and monetary gain, we have begun to sacrifice our humanity. We are becoming corporate led consumer machines! We get lost in the enticing virtual reality that we forget what real human interaction feels like. Sometimes I want to break away from bombardment of advertisements, social standards, never ending race with time and just breathe, and remember what it's like to feel alive! To connect with our fellow humans and the world!"

For this EP, the band is exploring it's heavier side with a new industrial edge, yet keeping the dynamic and melodic Edge Of Paradise sound. The group comments: “This is our best music to date! We were so fortunate to work with amazing, powerhouse people on this CD, and are confident that the outcome is the most exciting Edge Of Paradise musical experience yet!"

The Hollywood group has toured over 30 states and is excited to hit the road again in the spring. This year the band plans to tour US, South America and Europe with already set date at the Female Metal Event in Eindhoven, Netherlands, playing alongside Delain. More...
