Helmet Cancels European Tour
Alternative rock/metal legends Helmet has announced that, due to a number of reasons, their planned "Covers And Hits" tour of Europe has been cancelled. A statement from frontman Page Hamilton reads as follows:
"Hey everyone,
"We were so looking forward to returning to Europe and getting back out on the road this Spring. After the past 2 1/2 years of Covid crushing live music we’d started rehearsals and even played 2 shows in LA. Unfortunately we are forced to cancel our 2022 European Tour due to several circumstances beyond our control (the world is still not back to normal) and for a band member to deal with a serious but non life threatening health issue.
"We would like to sincerely apologize to all our fans who have reached out to us to make plans to hang, catch up and hear us play. For now it’s back to the drawing board and we hope to see you next year.
"Refunds will be given for tickets purchased."

Ministry Premiere New Single "Good Trouble"
After incubating for the larger part of 2020 – at a time when creative mastermind Al Jourgensen was able to ruminate on the new world we as a society have found ourselves in – the time has finally come for Ministry to unleash their much-anticipated 15th studio album.
Aptly titled "Moral Hygiene," the album will be released via Nuclear Blast Records on October 1st. With some of Ministry’s strongest and most inspired material to date, the 10 tracks are a follow-up to 2018’s lauded "AmeriKKKant" and put forth Jourgensen’s societal manifesto and plea for civilization to get back to a set of standards that lives up to and embraces our humanity.
"The good thing about literally taking a year off from any social activity or touring is that you really get to sit back and get an overview of things as they are happening, as opposed to being caught up in the moment. And what I saw with how we handled several public crises - from the pandemic to racial injustice to who we vote in to lead our country - is that times are changing, and society needed to change to get away from the idea that has permeated us of take care of yourself, fuck everything else. Now more than ever we need moral hygiene," says Jourgensen of the new album. "It consumed me as I wrote this album. It’s not some pious term. It’s what we have to return to in order to function as the human species on this planet. And I'm proud to have had such great guests on this album to help cement that message like Billy Morrison, Jello Biafra and Arabian Prince."
In conjunction with today’s album announcement, the latest track 'Good Trouble' has also been released. The song, inspired by the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests and the activist work of the late US Congressman John Lewis, is accompanied by a new video that includes sampling from last year’s demonstrations in Los Angeles as captured by Jourgensen and his partner Liz Walton. Ministry Postpones U.S. Tour
Ministry will be moving forward with the much anticipated Industrial Strength Tour, today announcing that the previously announced spring dates have now been moved to October and November 2021 to allow additional time for COVID-19 restrictions to be lifted as the country nears towards more normalcy this fall.
The new dates will kick off October 3, 2021 in Albuquerque and run through November 3, 2021 in Seattle, hitting all the previously announced markets except Pittsburgh, PA and Missoula, MT which unfortunately have been canceled and Baltimore, MD which will be postponed for a later date. The Buffalo, NY show has moved to a new venue and previous ticket purchases will be honored. And an additional show date has been added for Charlotte, NC that will go on sale Monday, March 22 at 10 am ET.
The tour’s special guests Front Line Assembly remain on the lineup for this one-of-a-kind celebration alongside newly announced support act Helmet. This special tour honors not only the 40th anniversary of Ministry in 2021 but also the 30th anniversary of revolutionary album The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste and will also include brand-new material from Ministry’s upcoming 15th studio album. Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 protocols for visas, travel and vaccine distribution in Germany as well as immigration uncertainty, KMFDM will regrettably not be taking part in this tour.
Says Ministry founder Al Jourgensen, "With current COVID-19 restrictions, we are forced to again move our scheduled March/April 2021 U.S. tour to October/November 2021 and hoping normalcy returns by then. With vaccinations and better care happening, we all feel the fall is realistic. We can’t wait to get out there and play not only The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste material for you all but some stuff off our new album as well. Stay safe and see you in the fall!" More...
