All Hail The Yeti Posts New Video
It was recently announced that southern-fried hardcore metal hybrid All Hail The Yeti will release full-length concept album, "Screams From A Black Wilderness," on April 8th, 2016 via Minus Head Records.
The album concept, based on classic campfire-circle horror stories, presents a different story with each track. "Screams From A Black Wilderness" features the prequel to the concept track "After The Great Fire," entitled "Before The Flames." Check out a video for that clip below.
Both videos are directed by Brian Cox of Flarelight Films and depict an orphanage housing children being abused by possessed caretaker nuns. When the nuns try to hide the abuse, their plan backfires tragically and everyone meets their demise. "Before The Flames" conceptualizes how the evil corruption came to be, before the tragic flames were set.
"This portion of the story is told from one child's point of view - the little girl writing the letter to her parents begging them to come save her," states vocalist Connor Garritty. "The idea for the story was something I came up with and immediately wanted to convey visually in addition to musically. The director Brian and I worked pretty closely together on the concept and treatment. From the initial idea I knew that I wanted it to be something that would make people feel uncomfortable but not be too gory. It's more of a 'suggested' horror, to think of what these nuns are doing to these little children." More...

Scorpion Child Reveals New Album Details
Texan classic rockers Scorpion Child will release second album, "Acid Roulette," on June 10th, 2016 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.
"’Acid Roulette’ chronicles the life trials of a traveling man who was imprisoned for a murderous crime," comments vocalist Aryn Jonathan Black. "He was forced into confessing by his wife and her wealthy lover so that they could live out their romance without him in the picture. Once sentenced to a life's term, he goes through extreme emotions dealing with the only woman he'd ever loved taking everything he'd known as ‘real’ away from him. He has to create and redefine his own reality accompanied by its roller coaster of emotional reflection. He experiences many different psychological changes throughout the years and escapes by means of drugs and his writings. These songs become his diary of a madman. The focus is mainly on the seasons in a year, for each song represents a month. The songs exist to drive home the full power of human emotion as many albums do, however, ‘Acid Roulette’ wires us into those extremes."
The band recorded at The Bubble in Austin, TX with Chris "Frenchie" Smith, who produced and arranged the band’s self-titled, first full-length. "Acid Roulette" was mixed by Dave Schiffman (The Mars Volta, Dead Meadow, Jane's Addiction, Rage Against The Machine). More...

Nuclear Posts "Left For Dead" Lyric Video
Chilean thrash outfit Nuclear just released a new lyric clip, available below, and the band also comments;
"Here is our new lyric video 'Left For Dead,' a song off the album \Formula For Anarchy\ which talks about the genocide of the Selk'nam people. A war of extermination hidden under business interests.
"A dark and shameful part of the history of Chile where the original inhabitants of the southern territories were assassinated. Men, women and children whose only crime was to have lived in a beautiful but coveted land. A massacre under the protection of the Chilean government. It was not colonization, it was a cold-blooded extermination."
Nuclear released the album "Formula For Anarchy" in June 2015 under Candlelight Records UK. You can hear the rest of the album here.

Katatonia Issues First Details Of New Album
Katatonia, the Swedish purveyors of dark progressive rock/metal, has revealed details of the eagerly awaited 10th studio album which will be entitled "The Fall of Hearts." The album is set for release on May 20th through long-time label Peaceville Records.
The official follow-up to 2012’s acclaimed "Dead End Kings" was recorded at Stockholm’s Studio Gröndahl & Tri-lamb Studio, and was self-produced by Anders Nyström & Jonas Renkse. Mixing and mastering duties were carried out by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Ihsahn, Devin Townsend) at Fascination Street Studios, with Karl Daniel Lidén (Switchblade, The Ocean, Greenleaf) brought in as engineer.
The dramatic, yet desolate, artwork was created by long time Katatonia designer and illustrator Travis Smith.
Katatonia spent the past four years since the release of "Dead End Kings" touring the world, as well as expanding the fanbase through two special albums on Kscope, the sister label of Peaceville. 2013 saw the release of "Dethroned & Uncrowned," which exploded the core of the songs on "Dead End Kings" creating new moods and textures. In 2015, the band released the live acoustic album and concert film, "Sanctitude." Both releases illustrate the band’s journey toward this, the current more progressive sound.
"The Fall of Hearts" is the first record to feature new drummer Daniel ’Mojjo’ Moilanen and with the addition of their recently recruited guitarist Roger Öjersson (Tiamat), who came in just in time to sprinkle some blistering solos on the album, Katatonia will continue to push the musical boundaries beyond the roots in the metal scene while drawing in new fans from across the musical spectrum like peers such as Opeth and Anathema have also done, cementing Katatonia’s place as one of the most revered and cherished of all bands in the world of modern heavy music. Fear Of Domination's New Album Delayed
Shock industrial metal band Fear of Domination is delaying the publishing of its fourth album "Atlas" by a couple of weeks (originally expected to drop on March 11th). The vocalist and the lyricist Saku Solin says that the band members did everything they could, but faced many things, that couldn’t be helped. The new date will be announced soon.
"Shit hit the fan. We could have pushed 'Atlas' out on 11[th of] March by force, but we have sacrificed so much for the album, that it would have been wrong against the album and the fans to just spit it out", Solin says.
The main reason for the delay is that the band couldn’t reach understanding with the people responsible in the mixing and the mastering the album. The lead-guitarist and the main composer of the band Johannes Niemi says, that there is no big drama included. The artistic views just didn’t match.
”We told, that we want a heavier sound for the album, so that every instrument with their elements would stand out better than before. They took the sound to the direction they thought was the best, and it really didn’t fit to our band. It was far away from FoD”, Niemi says.
Eventually the band took the material back and chose new partners to handle the mixing and the mastering. The new mixer has been Tuomas Kokko from Electric Fox Studios, who has mixed, for example, Swallow the Sun. The mastering has been done by Svante Forsbäck, who has worked for example with Rammstein.
"We were more or less amazed, when we heard the result. Now we nailed it. This fucking rocks!," Niemi says.
”Of course we are sorry for the delay, but we hope, that the crowd and the fans understand it. We have carried this burden for so long, that we want to carry it to the very end with style”, Solin says.
As for compensation Fear of Domination will release a new single from "Atlas" - "Adrenaline" - which will be unleashed on the original release date of March 11th.
"Adrenaline is a compilation from the theme, the atmosphere and style of the album. It is about the idea, when nothing is enough. You have to get reasons to live. For me, the enthusiasm of adrenaline burst and the wilderness is irreplaceable and great! That is what the live-shows are for us," Solin says.
