New Disease EP Coming

New Disease are to release their debut EP, ‘Axiomatic’, next month on Changes One Records. It features five audio tracks, plus an MPEG video for ‘Hold On (Here Comes The Sun)’. This will be available at shows the band are doing supporting H.I.M., and also on their website and at the Changes One website.

Moonspell Bassist Quits

Portugal’s Moonspell have parted with bassist Sergio Crestana. This comes at a bad time, as the band are currently recording their new album. However, they’ve brought in Amorphis’ Niclas Etelavuori to help their out in the studio. The as yet untitled album is being produced by Hilli Hillesma in Finland.

Machine Head Choose Covers For Website

Machine Head are to record versions of the following songs for their website: ‘Battery’ (Metallica), ‘Jizzlobber’ (Faith No More) and ‘Toxic Waltz’ (Exodus). These songs were chosen after a poll the band conducted online. They’ll be recorded in demo form and made available for streaming – but not download – very shortly.

Deftones Confirm First Single

Deftones have confirmed that the first single from their new album is to be titled ‘The Late Great Planet Earth’. The album, which is likely to be self-titled, will be released in late May, coinciding with their appearance at the Download Festival. This happens at Donington on May 31 and June 1. Deftones will play on the main stage on the first day, which is headlined by Iron Maiden.

Highlord Sign To Arise Records
