Satyricon Drummer Breaks Foot
Satyricon drummer Frost broke his foot before the soundcheck of their concert in Milan. Here's the tour report from the band: "Unholy shit, mother of all... We've had a few very good shows and the spirit is still strong. Paris and Porto (Portugal) being the best ones. Seems like the fans are always happy with our performances and it's always a treat to harvest fruits from years of hard work. This band needs to be on a big stage where we get to use all our lights and pyro. That's when we really shine! Italy was going to be one of the highlights of the tour which it wasn't. We knew the promoter had done a terrible job in promoting the shows and Rome had to be canceled because of some technical problems at the venue where we were performing. There was no other venue available the same day. As if this was enough Frost broke his foot right before soundcheck in Milan. "Luckily" it was on of the smaller bones in his foot and not his leg. He did play the show in Milan and a lot of people came out for the show although it would have been twice as many if they didn't set up the posters two hours before the doors opened!” More...

Keep of Kalessin Disband
The great Norwegian black metal act Keep Of Kalessin is no longer running under this moniker. As told by guitarist Obsidian C. (at this time on tour with Satyricon as session guitarist), he disbanded the band because of some personal issues among the band members.
Currently is he involved in Bloodthorn but will continue with the Keep Of Kalessin style under a different name as soon as he finds another members and returns from Satyricon tour. (here's a link for some updates about this "project." If all goes well, we might see their debut before the end of 2003. He's thinking about using Enslaved drummer for the recording session or even Frost or Hellhammer if they will be available and up to this (palms up!). Good luck my friend.

Centinex Announces Decadence
Centinex’s Martin has posted the following update at the bands website, www.centinex.org:
“We have set Decadence - Prophecies Of Cosmic Chaos as the title for our next full length album. The CD will include nine tracks, one being an instrumental piece written and performed by Peter Pettersson from Swedish goth/industrial act Arcana. The album will be recorded and mixed at Black Lounge Studios between June 23rd and July 20th for a October release. Among the titles tentatively set to appear on the CD are the following: ‘Cold Deep Supremacy’, ‘Misanthropic Darkzone’, ‘A Dynasty Of Obedience’ and ‘New World Odyssey’.
The album will be the hardest Centinex release ever, but it will also mark a new direction for the band. The new tracks are still good old Swedish death metal but with a modern touch. I'm not talking about industrial influences or things like that - even if the song titles might indicate something towards those dimensions - no, basically the material is just death metal for the new millennium. Lyrically we have moved away from the WW II era, the whole lyrical concept is actually based upon the forthcoming downfall of mankind. So the lyrics are still brutal, as it should be in this kind of music. No vampires nor other cheesy romantic rubbish. - Martin.”
Quo Vadis to Play Live Shows
Quo Vadis will support Anonymus at their album release parties on March 21st at Metropolis in Montreal and March 22nd at Kashmir in Quebec City. Guitarist Alex Auburn of Cryptopsy has been enlisted to help out for the two shows.

The band is currently working on vocals and the last details for guitars and bass. The album release is scheduled for late Summer/early Fall.

Nevermore Studio Update
Nevermore frontman Warrel Dane has posted the following update to the "Studio Report" section of the band's official web site (www.nevermore.tv).:
"I got main vocals done tonight for 2 more songs… 'Create The Infinite' and 'I, Voyager'... I think you will all find some of the lyrics to these songs a bit fucked up and twisted, but do you expect less? I know you've all heard so many different song titles but I always change lyrics right up until the actual recording of the vocals if needed... I'm going to try in the coming week to give you more info.. but with work schedules it's hard to do the updates as much as I would like to...one thing I would like to say is that we should all go to http://www.bobdylan.com and read the lyrics to the song 'Masters of War'."
The Crown Set Album Title
Swedish death metallers The Crown, featuring the return of original vocalist Johan Lindstrand, have set Possessed 13 as the title of their forthcoming album for Metal Blade Records.
"We're done with the pre-productions now. And that means simply that we have recorded a demo version of the whole album," reveals The Crown in a recent band announcement. "As it seems now we'll have 13 tracks on the album, two of them will be instrumental. As it looks now, the new album will be a bad motherfucker. Less melodies and as Magnus stated before, more power! And for the lyrics I must say that Magnus has definitely wrote his best stuff ever! The whole album has a very strong feel of original death metal spirit. This is fucking death metal culture!!! . . . We also have started working on the cover artwork together with the excellent Locust Construction. And it will be looking just awesome."
Says guitarist Marko Tervonen: "We are all so fucking exited to share this album with the world. The songs kill, Johan is back in the family, the artwork looks superdeadly, everything just feels so fucking right about this album. We are listening a lot to the pre-productions we did a week ago. Already some improvement ideas... We'll polish this deadly diamond until we start the real recordings at Studio Fredman the 5th of May. Can't fucking wait!!! But first we'll do a European tour starting now on Friday the 21st in Holland. Come and share the insanity!!!"
The track list for Possessed 13 is: More...
