ArmsBendBack from Philadelphia, PA are the newest signee to Trustkill Records. These guys will be releasing their Trustkill debut to the world this October entitled " The Waiting Room", and you can hear a sample MP3 of the track "Primera" right here. ArmsBendBack will be playing Hellfest on Sunday at 1:00 on the "C" stage.
Ill Nino have brought in former Machine Head guitarist Ahrue Luster and percussionist Danny Couto. They replace Mark Rizzo and Roger Velasquez, respectively. The band are currently mixing their new, as yet untitled, album with Michael Barbiero; production was handled by Bob Marlette and Ill Nino drummer Dave Chavarri.
Static-X have brought in former Seether drummer Nick Oshiro to replace to recently departed Ken Jay. The band have just finished work on new album ‘Shadow Zone’ – using guest drummer Josh Freese - and will start touring in early July. The record is released in September.
More dates have been announced for the forthcoming U.S. tour featuring Type O Negative and Lacuna Coil.

Swedish experimental extreme metal band MESHUGGAH have fulfilled their contractual obligations to Nuclear Blast Records and are currently weighing their label options before recording their next studio album. "We've got like three or four offers right now, one of which is from Nuclear Blast, because they want to keep us," guitarist Mårten Hagström told KNAC.com. "We're thinking that we'll do this tour [with STRAPPING YOUNG LAD], go home, and then we'll sit down and negotiate. There's really no rush. We've got a couple of festivals this summer, we're going to start writing new material, perhaps do a European tour. But slowly, we're trying to figure out where we want to go. More...
Iron Maiden's scheduled August 21, 2003 date at the Albuquerque Journal Pavilion has been cancelled.
The band have no plans to reschedule the date at this time.
No reason was given for the cancellation.

Portugal's Re:aktor have signed a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast Records and will release their debut album, "Zero Order", on September 29 in Europe and October 7 in the U.S.
Produced by the band's mastermind [Nexion] (guitars, electronic programming & sampling, bass], and mastered by George Marino at Sterling Sound Studios in New York, "Zero Order" is described in an official press release as a fresh, groundbreaking record that will blow your mind! . . . Beyond rules and trends, the sound could be roughly described as 'a transversal line between cyber-industrial metal and modern rock, flirting with electronic programming & sampling techniques'."
A special airing of "Headbanger's Ball" on MTV will take place this Friday (Saturday morning), June 27 at 1:00 a.m. EST and 10:00 p.m. According to Century Media, this will be a "test run" to see if the "Ball" could possibly fit back into MTV's programming schedule. The episode will include videos from Shadows Fall and Strapping Young Lad, among others.
The resurrected metal program — which had an eight-year run between 1987 and 1995 — airs on Saturdays at 10:00 p.m. EST/PST on MTV2.
