KK's Priest Debuts "Keeper Of The Graves" Video
The wait is almost over! KK's Priest - featuring Judas Priest alum and GRAMMY Award winning/nominated musicians K.K. Downing (guitar) and Tim “Ripper” Owens (vocals) - will kick off their very first USA headline tour tonight at a sold out show in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Along for the wild ride is L.A. Guns and Napalm Records label mates Burning Witches, so get your tickets now and don't miss this stellar line-up!
In celebration of tomorrow's tour kick off, KK's Priest have dropped a dark, visually eerie new video for the menacing "The Sinner Rides Again" track "Keeper Of The Graves." The high energy track provides a taste of what fans can expect on stage this month!
From May on, KK’s Priest will play their first ever headline tour and shows in Europe, as well as several festival appearances, including legendary Wacken Open Air!
K.K. Downing says:
"The Keeper of The Graves is the defender, the sentinel and the protector of all of the dead. This ageless being, throughout many centuries, has fought many battles with marauders that seek to prey on the souls of the buried and entombed. But alas, it would be inevitable that one day the kiss of Judas would land on his lips and the cold steel of the evil ones would thrust forward and penetrate the heart drawing the blood of death. As the moon turns red, no one will be saved. Who will avenge the Keeper of The Graves?"

Jinjer Announces First Live DVD/Blu Ray Release
Ukraine’s hottest and most exciting band, Jinjer, have just announced their first official live DVD/BluRay, "Live in Los Angeles," set for release on May 17, 2024 via Napalm Records. Recorded and filmed on December 22, 2022 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA, USA, this offering is intended to celebrate not only getting through the last few years in one piece, but also a celebration of the bands 15 year career.
Through their relentless hard work, matchless talent and non-stop touring, the four-piece has manifested its standing as one of the best live acts to date, gaining them a fiercely loyal, rabid fanbase and audience of millions of people at the biggest festivals worldwide – such as Hellfest, Rock am Ring, Graspop Metal Meeting, Download Festival and Rocklahoma USA, plus sold-out headline shows across Europe and North America. Together with the announcement of their new live offering, Jinjer have dropped a neck-breaking live video for "Call Me A Symbol," a track originally cut from their chart breaking latest studio album, "Wallflowers" (2021).
Jinjer on Live in Los Angeles:
"Our sold-out Los Angeles show at the end of our 2022 tour was the perfect time and place to do something special - something like a long awaited DVD/live album by Jinjer! The totally packed, legendary venue, the crazy west coast vibes, and most importantly, the band delivering it with full force after being on tour for 6 months around the globe - from Europe to Australia and back to the USA - made this an extra special night. For the fans who joined us that night at The Wiltern, it was an unforgettable concert, but now every single Jinjer supporter around the world can experience and enjoy an ideal set featuring our biggest hits from older albums as well as recent bangers. This is not just a DVD or a live album, but a celebration of the first 15 years of the JINJER story, right before we move on to the next chapter…" More...

70,000 Tons Of Metal 2024 (Day One)
There are very few metal festivals that the attendees will lose sleep over waiting for the band announcements, 70,000 Tons Of Metal just might rank number one on that list. This is my sixth 70,000 Tons Of Metal, so I’m never surprised that many of the 60 bands are announced during the final two weeks leading up to the cruise ship’s departure date. At this point in my 70 Tons Of Metal exploits, I just know that something awesome is about to happen and to just enjoy the ride, but in this case, let’s just cruise man…
It’s amusing to read the comments in certain social media platforms dedicated to the festival. There always those that post things such as, “This is my last 70k Of Metal because it’s so unfair that we have to wait so long to know the full line-up.” I read many similar comments this year. They just don’t get it. Even though it’s nice to know the full line-up before reserving your spot on the boat, it’s more of a convenience. This festival isn’t about the line-up per se, it's about the full experience. This is also what this road report is about, my 2024, 70,000 Tons Of Metal experience.
The unofficial festival starts about a week before the actual sail date. For those that live in colder climates, they are usually the first to arrive and I don’t blame them. Normally, the average temperatures are very mild around late January and early February, however, this year it was a little cooler than average. Try telling that to any Canadian or Norwegian attending 70,000 Tons and they’ll laugh you off the beach.
There are several events that take place during the week leading up to the festival. There are some local warm-up shows, a few parties, BBQ’s and the original beach party located on Miami Beach. 70,000 Tons Of Metal is a community. It’s global and it’s welcoming to anyone and everyone that’s a fan of heavy music. There are no barriers or borders on board either. We were all here to have a fun time together and that’s part of the 70,000 Tons Of Metal experience.
I had a lot going on in my personal life leading up to this year’s festival, so my wife and I flew in the day before and checked out the beach party for a bit.
It was late afternoon when we arrived and by that time, they were getting ready for the annual beach party group photo. My wife and I are somewhat vertically challenged, so we took off our flip-flops and held them up so we could find ourselves easier once the photos were published. A few hours later, we saw some of the photos and because the beach party has grown exponentially over the years, the only thing we could see were the tips of our flip-flops. It was still awesome to see that mass of black t-shirts taking over the beach, that never gets old. More...
