Morrigan finally have a website up at www.morrigan.org. They are also searching for places to play all over Europe for a tour in Spring 2004 with Mystifier / Abigail / Morrigan / Eminenz. Detroit metal band Black Dahlia Murder has officially signed a multi-album deal with Metal Blade Records, home to The Crown and Cannibal Corpse, among many others. The group recently finished recording their debut full-length, entitled Unhallowed, at Cloud City Studios in Michigan. Look for the album to be released this Spring in conjunction with touring that will begin in May.
Croatian brilliant technical death metal act Forlorn Legacy has finally started recording their debut (after 4. demo recordings). The album is being recorded in Gama Studios, and is being produced by Igormeister. The guys are still looking for a record deal, so all interested labels are invited to get in touch with the band.
The third edition of the Bretthart Open Air Festival will take place June 20th/21st in Limbach (Odenwald), Germany. Brainbug Concerts are proud to present Doro as the first confirmed headliner. Others scheduled to appear include Lanfear, Crack Up, Postmortem, Viu Drakh, Mucupurulent, Dark Age, End of Green, Adorned Brood and Frown. The aftershow parties will be hosted by DJane Sandra Eichner from Metal Heart Magazine and other famous Metal DJs. Canadian stoners Sea of Green hit Number9 Studios this weekend to record three new songs. On Thursday, March 20th will be playing live to air on CKMS Space In Your Face radio show. The show will be webcast . On Saturday, March 22nd the band are holding a CD release Party at The Bovine Sex Club in Toronto. On April 22nd, Sea Of Green head to Los Angeles for a gig at S.I.R on the Sunset Strip. The band’s new CD, Chemical Vacation, will be released on Tuesday, March 25th worldwide on The Music Cartel.

Finland's Finntroll have posted a preview of their upcoming "acoustic/experimental" CD, titled "Visor Om Slutet", at this location (.zip file, approximately 1.30 MB in size). The group's first with new singer Tapio Wilska, "Visor Om Slutet" is slated for release this spring. Finntroll will enter the studio later in the year to record their next full-length album, due in late 2003.
Atrocity, Theatre of Tragedy frontwoman Liv Kristine, Secret Discovery and Bloodflowerz are among the acts scheduled to appear at the Kindred Nightowls Festival, set to take place April 31-May 3 at Schloss Püchau in Leipzig, Germany. Norwegian black metallers LJÅ have signed a record deal with Aftermath Music. According to an official press release, "this black metal band has been active for quite a few years, developing their style, now sounding like a raw form for black metal, but with also a touch of acoustic guitars and harmonies in their music. Maybe a comparison to some of the early Ulver material, however in the basic sense rawer! The first manifestation from this band is a split 7", that will be released as soon as we have found the band for the B-side! Stay tuned for more info!"
Austrian death/black metal act Belphegor are currently at Mastersound studios In Stuttgart/Fellbach, Germany with producer Alex Krull (Atrocity) recording their fourth full-length album, tentatively due in the summer. "Eight brand-new, high-speed-brutality tracks" are being laid down for the follow-up to 2000's "Necrodaemon Terrorsathan", which is expected to be completed by the end of March.

Destruction and Kreator's co-headlining show at Dynamo Sports Hall in Moscow, Russia on March 29 was cancelled by the Russian promoter because of problems with the venue. Commented Destruction bassist/vocalist Marcel "Schmier" Schirmer: "This is ridiculous. Our German agent, All Access, will work no longer with this Russian agent! We've applied [for] our visas, we've booked our flights, the disappointment is fuckin' unreal! Incredible! Our numerous and faithful Russian fans waited twenty years for this event and a fuckin' dilettante destroyed all their expectations and dreams of getting a great THRASH metal evening! But we won't give up — we will fight for a THRASH ATTACK in MOTHER RUSSIA. FUCK, I'm pissed!!!"
Strapping Young Lad have been officially confirmed as the support act on the forthcoming Meshuggah North American tour, set to kick off in May. Exact dates and venues will be announced soon.
Finland's The 69 Eyes will make their first-ever appearance in Russia on Saturday, March 8 at DK Gorbunova in Moscow. The group, whose last CD, "Paris Kills", was certified gold for sales in excess of 15,000 copies in the band's home country, will also perform live on MTV Russia.
The 69 Eyes' latest single, "Crashing High", debuted on the Finnish Singles chart at position #5. The single also includes three remixes of "Stigmata": "Gothic", "Demonic" and "Prophecy" by Kris Kylven.
The 69 Eyes filmed a show at Helsinki's Tavastia club last November for an upcoming DVD release, "Helsinki Vampires", due in the summer. The DVD, which will feature the entire concert recorded in Dolby 5.1 surround sound, will be mixed by T.T. Oksala. The group's promo clips will also be included in the package.
