Raging Speedhorn Signs With Spinefarm Records
Spinefarm is excited to welcome UK metal legends Raging Speedhorn to its roster. The Corby sextet have also unveiled their new single, "Night Wolf," and announced an extensive UK tour throughout March 2025.
A major presence within the UK metal scene for the past two decades, with half a dozen crushing studio outings to their name (and what a name!), Raging Speedhorn have forged their reputation through hard touring, hard music, plus a no-compromise attitude… to everything.
New single, "Night Wolf," the band’s first for Spinefarm, produced by Russ Russell, sees the six musicians – as much gang as band – delivering one of the most memorable moments of their career, with all valves glowing, all faders up and all needles flicking red.
The band comment on the single: “We’re super excited to release our new single "Night Wolf," produced by our brother Russ Russell at Parlour Studios. It’s got everything you need in a classic Raging Speedhorn song: big riffs, thundering drums and great vocals. To us, it’s a mixture of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath with a unique Speedhorn sound.
"We’ve been inspired by one of our favourite 80s movies, and we hope our fans will enjoy the retro vibe in our artwork."
Dante Bonutto, Director of A&R, Spinefarm UK, comments on the signing and single: "For the past two decades, Raging Speedhorn have been a mighty force within the UK metal scene, showing what can be accomplished through hard touring and hard music, plus the collective, instinctive desire to make music that grabs both attention and lapels. It is therefore with a sense of pride that we welcome the band to Spinefarm. New single ‘Night Wolf’ is classic Speedhorn, a howl-at-the-moon taste of what’s to come, and we look forward to supporting the band in their continued efforts to dispense sonic justice." More...
Death SS To Release New Album In 2025
Italy’s cult heavy rock band Death SS will release their new studio album “The Entity” early next year. The concept album was produced by mastermind and frontman Steve Sylvester along with the English Grammy winner producer Tom Dalgety (Rammstein, Ghost, The Cult, a.o.).
The literary inspirations of the 12-song opus range from Aleister Crowley, who seeks to liberate man by awakening his artistic genius, to the characters of writers James Hogg and Robert Louis Stevenson, who explore the dark side of mankind. It also includes figures such as Jack the Ripper, Walter Sickert, Cemetery and others, ultimately linking to the band's history.
The album will be preceded by four digital singles, released not only digitally but also as a 12' "Limited Deluxe" version.
The first single "Dr. Jeckyll & Sister Hyde" is a powerful dark metal song in pure Death SS style, which ironically quotes the 1971 Hammer Production film of the same name. As in the film and the song's amusing promotional video clip, the story is set in late 19th century London, where Dr. Jekyll, the famous character from Gothic fiction created by the writer Robert Louis Stevenson, gives life to his evil alter-ego Hyde, who however in this case is a woman.
Helloween Shares "Eagle Fly Free" Live Clip
Exciting things are underway: as they record the follow-up to their highly acclaimed 2021 self-titled album with producer Charlie Bauerfeind, metal legends Helloween treat fans to another preview from their upcoming "Live At Budokan" release (Reigning Phoenix Music). This high-octane rendition of their timeless classic, "Eagle Fly Free," captures the unmistakable chemistry between the band and the spirited Japanese audience at Tokyo's legendary Budokan, elevating the track to an entirely new level. You can check it out below.
"A song that is just as wonderful and popular today as it was when it was first released. It comes with an effective overture, has a great upbeat and a brilliant, epic chorus. 'Eagle Fly Free' has the ultimate vibe and encourages you to sing along. It has everything you would expect from an all-time Helloween classic, I love playing it," states guitarist/vocalist Kai Hansen.
"Live At Budokan" will be released on DVD and Blu Ray on December 13th. More...
