The Last Will and Testament, Opeth's new album, heralds the two comebacks we've been waiting for - the band has returned to a heavy sound in the studio, and will return to Mystic Festival next June.

In addition, legendary Sepultura has just played in Poland, demolishing the famous Spodek venue in Katowice. Those who have already climbed from under the debris do not need much persuading to attend the Brazilians' farewell festival show in Poland.

Mystic Festival will take place in Gdansk, Poland at the Gdansk Shipyard on June 4th through 7th, 2025.

Attila Premiere New Single “Wasteland”

Attila's latest track, "Wasteland," premiered today, November 21st, featuring a collaboration with Joe Cotela, vocalist of modern nü-metal band DED. However, the song's release comes amidst controversy surrounding Attila's recently announced 2024 tour, which includes the contentious addition of Dealer to the lineup.

Dealer's involvement has sparked backlash due to allegations against their vocalist, Aidan Ellaz Holmes, involving claims of sexual assault and mental abuse. Though legal action regarding one such allegation was reportedly dropped due to insufficient evidence, the band's inclusion has reignited debates within the scene.

The fallout has extended beyond Dealer, with fellow artists publicly criticizing the tour. Oceano, initially booked as direct support, has since dropped off the bill, seemingly disbanding in the process. Oceano vocalist Adam Warren revealed he was unaware of the allegations' severity until after the tour announcement. Expressing frustration with the metal scene, Warren stated, “The band ending thing is my call in protest to the scene being riddled with fucking creeps.”
