Sanhedrin To Release New Album In March

New York trio Sanhedrin has announced that they will release their long-awaited new full-length, "Heat Lightning," on March 14th via Metal Blade Records.

Sanhedrin has spent the last decade at the forefront of the American heavy metal scene blending traditional metal and hard rock sounds with a fresh modern energy and perspective. With 2022‘s critically lauded "Lights On" full-length, the band had created their most complete work to date. With their follow-up, "Heat Lightning," the band delivers a diverse collection of songs that wholly captures their wide array of influences with an elevated level of production.

"Sonically, there‘s no comparison," notes drummer Nathan Honor when asked how "Heat Lightning" compares to the band‘s previous efforts. "'Heat Lightning' is the fullest representation of the power of this band. When you take three seasoned musicians with their favorite handpicked instruments, put them in front of two brilliant producer/engineers in a studio stacked with incredible equipment and no outside distractions, this is what you get." Aborted Posts New Standalone Single Online

Extreme metal trailblazers and passionate horror aficionados Aborted has unleashed a new stand-alone single called "The Pain, Will Be Exquisite" upon the world. The song is an unreleased bonus track from the recording sessions of Aborted's acclaimed most recent album, "Vault Of Horrors" (2024), and it's easily on par with its evil siblings that made the cut and ended up on the full-length. Fusing a variety of extreme metal subgenres, "The Pain, Will Be Exquisite" is an unrelenting attack on the senses and will beat you into submission in typical Aborted fashion with its ferocious groove and unexpected tempo changes.

Aborted vocalist Sven de Caluwé commented:
"Maniax! It is with great horror that we present to you ‘The Pain, Will Be Exquisite’! Something we recorded during the "Vault of Horror" sessions and kept aside as a surprise. We hope you enjoy blasting it as much as we did. See you all on the road very soon!" More...

Scardust Releases "RIP" Music Video

Israeli progressive symphonic metal band Scardust are excited to share their new official video "RIP," out now via Frontiers Music Srl. You can check it out below.

About the music video, Scardust says: "A cinematic video brings this concept to the screen with an unexpected twist. Filmmaker Lahav Levi depicts the story of Bitcoin’s mysterious creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, as he faces the bittersweet realization that he must vanish for his invention to thrive. Bitcoin enthusiasts may spot some of Satoshi’s famous last communications before his disappearance, and some authentic collectables. Others can simply enjoy an epic, high-energy short film about a heartbreaking decision.

"This is one of the heaviest and most technically complex tracks - arguably one of the most ambitious we've ever written. It features the powerful Hellscore choir, directed by Noa Gruman, and an exquisite Turkish strings orchestra, led by Mumin Sesler. Together, the choir and orchestra amplify the song's dramatic and theatrical essence. The song speaks about the painful act of asking a loved one to let you go, for their own sake. Through emotional death metaphors, it captures the sorrow of parting while encouraging them to move on and build a life without you." More...
