Battle Beast Posts New Music Video Online

After re-signing to Nuclear Blast in early 2021, the Finnish heavy metal sextet Battle Beast are once again unleashing their full force upon the world in the shape of their brand new masterpiece, "Circus Of Doom," which is out today via Nuclear Blast. In true Battle Beast fashion, the 10 tracks blend true heavy metal with pop and rock-vibes, paired with Noora Louhimo’s unique voice.

To celebrate the occasion, the band have also released a music video for their new single "Wings Of Light," that you can watch below.

Janne Björkroth comments about the release:
"We wanted to make an absorbing and interesting album that includes both lighter party songs and heavier stuff as well. It's not a theme album in the traditional sense, but rather a versatile entity that sounds like Battle Beast, but with new flavours and twists.

"The album is named after its theatrical opening track, which is quite a massive song in many ways. It's groovy and catchy, filled with fascinating details, wild orchestrations, big emotions, and many stories. In that way, the song reflects the whole album, and we think it's an ideal title track. Like the song 'Circus of Doom', the whole album is filled with enchanting surprises and wild carnival atmosphere. Like a joyful day at the circus."

Battle Beast Releases New Music Video

After re-signing to Nuclear Blast in early 2021, the Finnish heavy metal sextet Battle Beast are once again getting ready to unleash their force upon the world in the shape of their brand new masterpiece "Circus Of Doom." The album is set to be released on January 21st 2022 via Nuclear Blast and in true Battle Beast fashion, the 10 tracks blend true heavy metal with pop and rock-vibes, paired with Noora Louhimo’s unique voice. "Our goal was to make an interesting and absorbing album, with both lighter party songs and heavier stuff as well. In a way the whole album is like a joyful day at the circus. Full of enchanting surprises and wild carnival atmosphere", explains keyboardist Janne Björkroth.

Today, the band reveal a stunning music video for the first single, "Master Of Illusion," directed by Markus Nieminen, that you can watch below.

Janne comments on the single: "The first single from the upcoming Battle Beast album, 'Master of Illusion', is a groovy and catchy song that makes dance floors roar and disco balls explode.
The story of the song is about a self-centered, greedy, narrow-minded, and thoughtless character, who sows destruction all around without listening to or respecting others. The character may represent various things in the many arenas of power – for example, those of personal relationships, as well as in politics, and everywhere in between.

"Despite these heavy themes, there is playfulness in the composition, lyrics, and production, and the small twinkle in the corner of the eye that characterises Battle Beast." More...

Guitarist Joona Björkroth states, "'Eden' was born about one year ago when I was going through an extremely bad period in my personal life. I wrote the song as a remembrance to myself that whatever life throws at you, there's light in the end. Many bad things people have in their lives are creations of their own mind and can be mended by letting go. Keyboardist Janne Björkroth comments on the track, "The song tells a story about living up to other people's expectations and becoming a kind of a sidekick in one's own life. Hollywood conventions and media set unrealistic expectations and narrow ideals about such things as beauty and happiness, and it's easy to get lost while trying to fit the mould. The song claims that there isn't a universal pattern for happiness, but everyone has a right to be respected as they are and live a life that suits for themselves. It's a hymn to individuality."
