Arisen From Nothing Posts New Single

Arisen From Nothing's guitarist Troy Elmore is stoked for fans to hear new EP "Broken," which draws inspiration from the state of the world around us and offers a strident call for unity. He comments:

“There’s a lot of subject matter fans should be able to relate to so I’m hoping it will be received well. Fans will appreciate the new AFN sound, and new direction the band is going in. We wanted songs that had moments of musical complexity but maintain a groove that gets your toes tapping and your head banging.”

Check out the "Chaos" single below. Arisen From Nothing had this to say: “This song was always meant to open the album due to the long string intro that starts the song, the song isn’t very fast but has a groove element and lyrical content that we felt should be the first thing people hear. It has small amounts of all the new sounds the band has evolved into.”

The "Broken" EP is due out September 29, 2017 via Collective Wave Records and features the following track listing:

1. Chaos (4:37)
2. American Patriot (3:57)
3. Better Off Dead (3:39)
4. Falling From Grace (3:59)
5. Born Hated (3:41) More...

Annihilator Releasing New Album

Annihilator's 16th studio release, "For The Demented," is now officially due out November 3rd, 2017 via Neverland Music/Silver Lining Music) and pre-orders will go live next week. Today you can watch a new music video for the absolute burner of a new track, "Twisted Lobotomy," in the palyer below.

"It was time to analyze what a lot of fans over the years have kept telling me," says Annihilator's Jeff Waters. "It was time to sit down and figure out why Annihilator's early 'thrash-meets-melodic' caught the ears of so many and to try to sweep the 'fan' part of my writing/playing/singing out the door and welcome back the mostly-original Waters writing that was to be the first four Annihilator albums."

Waters didn't venture back alone while looking back through the band's history. "I was well aware that trying to re-capture the past usually fails, or at least won't come close. So, I decided to bring in fresh ears, both musically and physically with Rich Hinks, my bassist for the last few years. And doing most all of the records by myself, including writing and playing most all on my own, as well as mixing, mastering, engineering, etc..., well it can become routine and can often hinder you from being objective and more creative.

:Rich came in and co-wrote the music with me, as well as co-produced the beginning stages of the record. His background of classic thrash metal meets a newer math metal style was the perfect combination for me to simply ask, 'What do you think of this?' He would most-often reply with 'not the Annihilator style I like,' so we would keep going until we both felt that core Annihilator riffing and writing style presented itself.

"Bottom line, 'For The Demented' captures some feel from Annihilator's 1985-87 demos mixed with the first four Annihilator records. Back to the thrash-meets-melody but with some pure Waters guitar riffing, up-graded lead guitar shredding and vocals back to the demo-days meets the King of The Kill record. Lyrically, I placed a theme on the record: the human mind and all of its glory, complexity, diversity, weaknesses and insanity! Pretty much the craziness of the music is matched by the lyrics." GWAR Issues State Of The Union

The countdown is on as GWAR gets ready to release bone-crushing, corpse-grinding new opus "The Blood of Gods" on October 20th via Metal Blade Records.

Hopefully this will speed things along! Additionally, Beefcake the Mighty has issued a brief "State Of The GWAR Union" address.

Concerning the album, "The Blood of Gods" chronicles the rise of human beings against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that oppose them. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of humanity from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Decapitated Also Accused Of Gang Raping A Fan

Update: the band has now issued a statement, which can be read here.

Recently released court documents reveal disturbing details in Decapitated's recent arrest. As reported earlier past week all four members of the band, Michal Lysejko, 27; Waclaw Kieltyka, 35; Rafal Piotrowski, 31; and Hubert Wiecek, 30, were arrested on September 9th after the band's show in Santa Ana, CA with a potential charge of first degree kidnapping.

The charges stemmed from an incident which took place following the band’s August 31st show at "The Pin" in Spokane, WA. As it turns out, all four band members have now not just been accused of holding a female against her will, but also gang raping her on band's tour bus, while also sexually assaulting the victim's friend.

Spokesman.com provided the following summary of the court documents that were revealed:

"The women said they ended up speaking with members of Decapitated and were invited to have drinks in the tour bus parked outside the venue, according to court documents. One woman "described being excited to be on the bus, and then one of the band members began grabbing her breasts," court documents say. "He was later identified as the drummer, Michal Lysejko."

The same woman "was uncomfortable and said the band members began speaking to each other in Polish," court documents say. "She described the ‘vibe’ in the bus changed, and one of the members began looking at them like they were prey."

The woman said she looked at her friend "to signal they needed to get out of there." She then used the bathroom and was followed by the lead singer, Piotrowski, according to court documents. The woman told police Piotrowski began kissing her as she finished using the bathroom, and she began resisting when he started undoing her belt, according to court documents. She said she wanted to leave the bus with her friend, but a band member indicated her friend had already left, saying, "You have to have fun. She left you."

The woman "attempted to push Piotrowski away but he grabbed her arm and spun her around to where she was facing the sink and mirror in the bathroom," court documents say. "She saw in the mirror and out of the corner of her eye each of the band members taking turns raping her." More...
