Jager Puts The Heavy Back In Their Music Tour
On Tuesday, April 10, I made my first trip to Baltimore's Ram's Head Live to catch the Jagermeister Music Tour, featuring Stone Sour, Shadows Fall, and Lacuna Coil. This lineup is one of the most promising metal lineups since the Fall 2005 tour, when Disturbed headlined with support from Corrosion of Conformity, bloodsimple and A Dozen Furies. With the least heavy bands headlining on both that tour and the present one, it's still a far cry form the days when Slayer headlined. But the tour was clearly designed to once again be a metal tour, but also draw in a comparable crowd to its more mainstream rock line-ups. More...

Morker Post New Song Online
Swedish black metallers MÖRKER have uploaded a brand new song at their MySpace page. The recording — which features only drums and guitars — is unmixed and unmastered and can be heard at this location (click on "New Song" in the audio player).
According to the band's official bio, the new era of MÖRKER was launched in late winter of 2004 by Ascaroth (vocals), Larssa (synthesizers) and Grimner (guitar and bass). They started to write songs for their first demo, "Den Sista Utfärden", which was released in April 2005. The demo was later issued as a MCD by the German label Northern Silence Productions, and it was also released on tape by two different labels. A full-length album, "Skuggornas Rike", was recorded February-April 2006 and was released last July on Northern Silence Productions.

Candlemass New Digi To Include Two Bonus Tracks
In this age of Internet piracy, CANDLEMASS has sought a small way to combat the growing problem of someone posting an entire album online, pre-release. The initial digi-pak pressing of King Of The Grey Islands will include two additional songs, not given on promotional copies (a typical source of leaks) and thus not (yet) available on copies downloaded. Comments Leif Edling: "The promos went out last week, and as soon as they did, it was available on the net. It happens to us as it does every band, but we are getting fantastic pre-reviews already!! The journalists seem to love the album. We love the way Robert (Lowe/SOLITUDE AETURNUS) sings on the album. The king is dead, long live the king!!"

Interview
Roundtable Interview With Mutiny
Edison, New Jersey's Mutiny have been rocking in their current line-up since May of 2006. Brandishing everything heavy -- from face melting solos to blast beats, they continue to create their unique brand of technical metal. Nonetheless, Mutiny's sonic output comes back to rest on heavy grooves and melodies.
With an average age of 18, Mutiny have a lifetime in front of them. Even so, they've already played countless shows, with the likes of Danzig, WASP, 3 Inches of Blood, and are moving on to play the Bamboozle Festival alongside My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, and Killswitch Engage.
I caught up with Mutiny for some Chinese food and throwing of a frisbee. What follows is a conversation with all five band members. More...
Morifade Post New Song Online
Sweden's MORIFADE has posted a new song, entitled "Shadeless", at this location.
In a March 2007 online posting, the group wrote, "We have song material enough for an entire full-length album at this point and the only thing missing is money for the studio time and for the release, and that is a record label. If things goes our way, it's not impossible that a new MORIFADE album could be released during 2007 or early 2008, let's just hope!"
MORIFADE last year announced the addition of guitarist Mathias Kamijo to the group's ranks. The band parted ways with guitarist Jesper Johansson in October 2005 due to personal differences. The group is currently unsigned following a split with Holland's Karmageddon Media (formerly Hammerheart Records), the label that issued the band's most recent album, "Domi<>nation".
