Dreadnaught Announce Hometown Gig

Long-running Australian metallers DREADNAUGHT will play their first show back in Melbourne since supporting thrash legends TESTAMENT in February.

With a tour of the northern hemisphere set for early 2008, and pre-production on a new album release now underway, the 'NAUGHT are busting to show their home crowd a sample of what the new album will be made of.

Joining the 'NAUGHT at The Arthouse on May 26 will be high-octane rock legends JEDWHITEY, FROM HELL and Adelaide's own BLISTERED PALMS.

Since their inception more than 10 years ago, DREADNAUGHT have established themselves as a cornerstone for Australian heavy rock audiences. The city DREADNAUGHT call home, Melbourne, Australia, has spawned several "next big things" over the last decade as genres came and went, most recently JET and WOLFMOTHER. Meanwhile DREADNAUGHT have never failed to provide their loyal fans, both new and old alike, with diverse offerings rooted in the brand of Australian rock and metal that, as other bands have come and gone, the band have become an historic part of.

DREADNAUGHT's last studio effort, 2005's "Dirty Music", was helped along by production from DW Norton (SUPERHEIST, FRANKENBOK, DAYS END, MIND SNARE). A two-CD reissue, entitled "Dirty Music 2", followed, featuring different artwork, previously unreleased material from the band's past, tracks from the first two DREADNAUGHT releases, and videos for "Cut Throat Blues" and "Pushed To The Limit" from "Dirty Music".
