Zakk Wylde Co-Writes With Theory Of A Deadman
Famed axe-man Zakk Wylde is set to join Roadrunner recording artist “Theory of a Deadman”, in Los Angeles, California next week. Zakk Wylde, famous for his hard-driving guitar playing for Ozzy Osbourne, and his own band, Black Label Society, is currently charting with his smash hit single "Stillborn." Zakk has co-written several hits for Ozzy such as "No More Tears."
The collaboration should prove to be a successful marriage of two talent styles. Although there is no confirmed release date, for this new material, we should look forward to hearing a taste of their work late in the year.

Seether Schedule October Dates With 3 Doors Down
After Seether's final date on Sept. 27th, the band will take a couple weeks off and then they'll be right back on the road with 3 Doors Down (and Shinedown) starting on October 16th and running through November 14th. Those tour dates sa far are as follows:

Transport League Set November Release Date
Sweden's Transport League have set a November 17 European release date through Holland's Seamview Records for their fourth full-length album, "Multiple Organ Harvest". A single will follow the album on December 1 and will include the album cut "Disconnect Massconnect", plus the previously unreleased track "Never To Burn" (from the "Grand Amputation" recording sessions) and "industrial" remixes of three of the songs from the upcoming CD.
Amorphis Announce Tour Plans
Having released their Far From The Sun album during the summer and having spent the summer season playing festivals at home and abroad, Amorphis are now ready to take their music on a club tour of Europe. Before touring Scandinavia and continental Europe the band will do a tour in Finland, the largest of its kind in years.
After touring Finland, Amorphis will join Paradise Lost for their Scandinavian dates and then continue to Germany on their own before playing London’s Astoria with The Lost again in November.

Necrodeath Announce Tracklisting
Necrodeath have finished recording their new album, Tone(e)s Of Hate, due out in September through Scarlet Records. The album was recorded in Rome, Italy at Outer Sounds studio with producer Giuseppe Orlando (Novembre) and mastered at Mastering Room in Sweden.
A Japanese version of the album will feature as a bonus track, the original version of 'The Flag', originally included on the debut Into The Macabre and titled 'The Flag Of The Inverted Cross'.

Amon Amarth Drummer Launches Side Project
Curriculum Mortis, the Swedish band featuring Fredrik Andersson on drums, guitar and bass, Leo Pignon on guitar, and Mattias Leinikka on vocals, have made available copies of their long-completed first demo, titled "Into Death", via their official web site, www.curriculummortis.com.
Although Curriculum Mortis were formed as far back as 2001, it wasn't until August 2002 that the first demo got recorded, mainly due to conflicting schedules. It took an additional four months before the demo was mixed and another half a year before it got pressed.
"The songs on 'Into Death' are the result of long, hard work with no compromise," according to an official press release. "The music of Curriculum Mortis will surprise listeners with its unique riffs, its mix of brutality and harmonies and its excellent musicianship."

Thy Majestie Split with Scarlet Records
Italy's Thy Majestie have parted ways with Scarlet Records and are currently looking for a new record deal. The band are working on the last two songs for their fourth full-length album, which will be an historical concept based on Joan of Arc. A mid-2004 release is expected. Thy Majestie's last studio album, "Hastings 1066", was released in 2002.
Napalm Death Push Back Covers Album
Napalm Death have pushed back the projected release date of their upcoming collection of covers, entitled "Leaders Not Followers 2", to early 2004 through the band's own Feto label. "[We're] finally gonna get the mixing underway next week which is a relief," writes bassist Shane Embury on the band's web site.

The Haunted Plan New Album for 2004
Swedish thrashers The Haunted have "started rehearsing" material for their forthcoming fourth full-length CD and plan on releasing the follow-up to this year's "One Kill Wonder" in 2004, according to a post on the band's web site. The group, who played their last date at Malmöfestivalen in Malmö, Sweden on August 18, have no plans to do any additional touring in support of their current CD.
Ancient to Enter Studio in November
Norwegian black metallers Ancient will enter the studio in November to record their new album, tentatively due in early 2004 through Metal Blade Records. The CD will be recorded at Mirage and Alpha-Omega studios and the mixing and mastering will take place at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Strapping Young Lad also have works in for a European spring tour with dates to come shortly. Strapping Young Lad recorded a video for 'Relentless' off the new album this month - this should be being aired on major music channels in the next few weeks.
Nevermore Taps Testament Guitarist For Tour
Nevermore will be bringing Testament/Dragonlord guitarist Steve Smyth as their second touring guitarist for their upcoming european tour with Arch Enemy.
Steve says: "I am very excited and would to thank Jeff, Warrel, Van and Jim for inviting me, and I would also like to thank Chuck and Eric of Testament for all their support."
