Darkane Gets Simpler

Darkane are preparing their new album. Here's an update from the band: "All five of us like old school thrash more than anything," says Andreas. "That's the basis of what we're doing, so maybe it's just a stroke of luck that those influences came out on this album. I can't say that there isn't a Testament or old Metallica influence on this album because we've always listened to that stuff and we still do. What we've done on Expanding Senses is try to make things easier, give a more straight-forward build-up to the songs. I think we ended up getting too technical and complicated on Insanity, and that ended up spoiling it a little bit. Many of the fans told us that they had to listen to it eight or ten times before they understood it, and we didn't want that this time out."
