Despised Icon Premiere New Single & Music Video

Canadian deathcore mainstays Despised Icon have unleashed “The Apparition,” the third single from their upcoming seventh studio album, Shadow Work, arriving this Halloween (October 31st). The new track lands alongside a Simon Marchand-directed music video (going live today at 10 am EDT), both of which now available for streaming via YouTubeand Spotify for you below.

The album boasts an impressive lineup of guests: Matt Honeycutt of Kublai Khan TX appears on the previously released “Over My Dead Body,” while Tom Barber (Chelsea Grin) and Scott Ian Lewis (Carnifex) lend their voices to “Reaper.” Meanwhile, “In Memoriam” features the distinctive touch of Misstiq.

Adding to the intensity, a gang vocal choir composed of members from Ion Dissonance, Beneath The Massacre, and Scorching Tomb also appears on the record.

Alternative metal trio Save Us have officially joined the Solid State Records roster and dropped a music video for their latest single, “Bruised.” Directed by Garrett Drake, the clip arrived tonight, streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you now below. Formed in 2023 and based in the UK, the band features members spread across two continents.

Solid State describes Save Us as recommended for fans of Sleep Token, The Plot In You, Dayseeker, and Bad Omens — comparisons that fit their atmospheric yet heavy sound.
