Tombs Heading Out For Co-Headlining Tour

Brooklyn, NY’s Tombs has announced a two week co-headlining tour with Los Angeles, CA misanthropic sludge rockers and label-mates -16-. The east coast / midwest two week run kicks off on October 13th in Pittsburgh, PA and runs through October 27th in New York City. A complete listing of dates can be found below.

Tombs vocalist / guitarist Mike Hill commented on the tour: “It’s been far too long since 16 has played on the East Coast. I feel fortunate to be part of this."

-16- guitarist Bobby Ferry also chimed in saying: “We’re excited to (finally) be going back to the east coast and midwest. Getting to play with Tombs every night makes it better."

Tombs Streaming Davie Bowie Cover

Tombs has premiered a pair of covers of David Bowie’s classic “Heroes” via Ghettoblaster Magazine. Tombs Records New Songs

Brooklyn's Tombs, which recently released a new video for "Passageways," has now checked in with the following update about recording new material:

"Let's clear this up: 1: We recorded two songs this weekend for two separate releases, one is for a website, the other you'll hear about/see soon enough.

"2: We are not recording for the next album, we are however working on new material, but there will not be a new album released this year.

"3: Best case scenario we start recording in January.

"4: Thanks for all the support, we really appreciate it, really excited to be presenting a brand new song to tide everyone over while we continue the writings process.

"5: Seriously, thanks."

Tombs Releases "Passageways" Clip

Brooklyn, New York's Tombs has released the new video for the song "Passageways." The track is taken from the band's 2011 release "Path of Totality." The video, which was directed by David Brodsky for Scion A/V Media, is streaming exclusively on Stereogum.com and can be viewed here or in the player below.

Tombs has also unveiled a new custom guitar created by Artists Series Guitars. The design of the guitar is based on the album artwork from "Path of Totality." The guitar is set to be released this spring. Check out a picture of the guitar here.

Ulcerate To Tour North America

Death metallers Ulcerate have revealed that they will be doing a short run of North American tour dates this coming May. The band will be joined by Tombs for the duration of the tour with local support acts expected to appear on select dates. Ulcerate's latest album, "The Destroyers of All," was released last year to critical acclaim. The currently announced dates for the tour can be found in the list below.

Relapse Records Announces Scion Showcase

Relapse Records has teamed up with Scion Audio / Visual for a special free label showcase at The Roxy in Hollywood, CA.

This one night only show will take place on February 11th and feature live performances from Relapse powerhouses Exhumed, Black Tusk, Revocation, Tombs, and Royal Thunder. Tickets are extremely limited and are only available via RSVP at this location.

The event will be professionally recorded by Scion and eventually released as a free full-length album with 3-4 tracks from each band. Tombs 360 Degree Live Footage Posted Online

Tombs Posts Violitionist Clips

Tombs visited the Violitionist.com studios for a live performance of three songs from the band's latest release "Path of Totality." The band ripped through the tracks "Black Hole of Summer," "Constellations," and "Bloodletters."

The Violitionist session was recorded by Michael Briggs on June 16th during the Tombs headlining album release tour for "Path of Totality." The video as well as audio from the session is available here and in the clips below.

Relapse Records Posts New Podcast

Relapse Records has posted a new podcast online, which can be found by heading over to this location. This is the 12th installment of the label's podcasts that will be posted every month highlighting brand new songs from Relapse artists, exclusive interviews, and music.

A Storm Of Light Announces Tour Dates With Tombs

The new album from Brooklyn-based apocalyptic metal contingent A Storm of Light is now available through Profound Lore Records. The album features guest appearances by Soundgarden lead guitarist Kim Thayil, Jarboe (ex-Swans), Kris Force (Amber Asylum), Nerissa Campbell, and more.
